Thanks for the kind words. This is one of the Gen2 Faclons so the entire airframe is sheeted with balsa (except of course, for the fuse which is glass) so the glassing was relatively easy. I have about 16 hours in the sanding/glassing/priming about 20 hours in masking and painting the colors, about three hours masking and painting the American flag and then a few hours applying the clear coat.

Hi guys.............Sorry for my website, it sucks. So far I have the design completed for the turbine version of the main gear retracts. They are complete including brakes and gear door sequencers. Just plug you gearr door servo retract into the retract. The nose is just about done except for the final strut length. I also have another design with the same mechanics, but no gear door, or brakes. of course they will be a bit cheaper. The mechanics are completed, just waiting to get back PC boards for the drive electronics. For some information, all the electric retractis I make use a planitary gearbox instead of the linear gear train everyone else uses. No gears to jam up or brake. can work on 2 to 3 cell Li batterys. A feature I have intergrated is, when you get to the field, if your retracts are in the up position, all you need to do is apply power to the retracts, and the gear come down. No need to turn on the transmitter and rec. The retracts can handle up to 25 lb. aircraft. I will post additional pic's when the other retracts are completed.

What are you guys using for servos for ailerons and flaps? I have some JR, DS537 digital servos 44 oz. torq. at 4.8V, about 50 oz. at 6V. I would never use them with a turbine, but you think there OK with an EDF. I'm powering the Falcon with one of the EDF's I make, probably about 6 KW.
