Wait a minute, I'm the only one that does that! You're poking fun at me, aren't you?

Our good friend Steve does it every once in a while too.
But you do it with style. I would call it pulling a Todd but I think that move has already been named

Ninja Throttle Safety

Trademarked Patent Pending yada yada yada.
Not really.
Make yourself one If you like the idea and you think it'll help you out.
One piece of sewing elastic
A couple 'o pieces of shrink tubing.
One O ring
A little bit of hot glue...

wow, do you work for OSHA? Although probably not, because before utilizing that device, there would be a 50 meg PDF form that has to be filled out and signed by 20 people to apply said device, then yet another 10 page form to remove it safely, including all of the affected individuals involved that you would have to notify.!

All kidding aside, I have bumped throttle accidently if I'm not careful while walking, usually against my leg. That got me in the habbit of constantly pushing down with me left thumb on the trl stick. (anything can still happen thought) I finally set a switch for throttle cut safety switch so that wouldnt happen any more.

I think thatas a pretty good idea, especially if you have young ones that like to run out and retrieve the wing for you.

When I am carrying my radio once the power is on on my plane I have my left thumb hold the throttle down. I have seen enough accidental throttle ups that I am careful.

I think a tie down strap is a great idea. A simple rubber band strap can do the same thing too.

Some one was telling us that they use a similar elastic strap for the DLG flyers and the flaps that they plug into the throttle channel.

But did you try to hold it up on 10.5"? Flying it again without really figuring out the problem won't change anything, and I think a few of us here are curious.

yup, finger was actually pass the 10.5" mark that i put on. about 11.5" back on mine. How could i put this thing together wrong? I got video, but i was kinda pissed about the flight. I've made scratch build planes fly better then this. Could it be the weight? maybe, i got too much weight?
I'll have to cut another hole out the move the battery between my other holes that i have already made. MORE HOLES

11.5 is most likely too far back.
I wouldn't cut any more holes until you find a configuration that is working out for you.
You are worried about the weight, what is your all up weight?

What exactly happens when you try to fly it.
Are you getting a successful launch?
Ar you able to attain controlled level flight?
Are you able to trim for level flight at all?
You mentioned before that it nosed down when you power it off? -Is that still the main issue that you are having?

I always velcro the battery on and check CG and even fly it before I cut out for it. Just fill the holes you got in it up with the extra epp from the aile and glue it up. Then Iron a piece of laminate over it. Then velcro the battery in the right spot and fly it moving it around till u get it right then cut it back out.

11.5 is a bit far back, yeah, and I'm curious what your all-up weight is.
