I highly recommend using a folding 7x4 folding CAM prop. They are super efficient props with Very low amp draw......I can cruise at 5 amps and the folding prop really helps with the glide. I can easily get 20 minutes out of one 2200mah battery pack with this setup an all my FPV gear including a separate 850mah battery for the OSD and VTx....even longer if I just get some altitude and glide around.

it was a ppg that filmed me taking off and it was thetre idea when i landed they sed "i thought you where going to get closer"

Here is my latest video taken with my FPV Grim. It was a bit breezy in the places I was flying so allot of the video is a little bumpy. But it was the most fun I've had FPV flying!

Looks like you're getting bounced around just as much as I am. We need to build our larger FPV ships so we can get slightly more stable video around the cliff faces.

I just finished swapping in the 1400kv motor with that prop, made a bunch of other fixes to the plane and spent more time trying to balance it. If you have a minute, could you measure the weight of your plane in ounces? Mine is 54 ounces, which seems really heavy to me. I'll bet yours is half a pound lighter based on the climb rate you're getting.

Gonna try taking mine out today to see how it flies and see if it'll get me by while building the bigger Reaper.

Are you flying 3s or 4s? If 3s and you are getting hot (are doing much throttle management or blasting away full throttle?) you want to get a wattmeter on there. I'm not sure what the RC Timer motors are rated for on 3s but it's all guesswork w/o a wattmeter. I think they should be OK at 3s with a 7x6 APC. If you are flying 4s I'm pretty sure you are going to need to prop down.

Hey Ninja, mmm its kinda more like a apc style(from rctimer) im flying 3s and i manage throttle very well was flying mostly at about 1/4 throttle... any prop suggestions to try b4 i remove the motor?

I used this spinner assembly without the cone and other stuff......just the yoke that attaches the prop blades. http://www.headsuprc.com/servlet/the...Hub-for/Detail

Ah okay so it doesnt matter. I'll grab those prop stops too.

I promise you will be satisfied with this setup, if not, I will buy it from you just to have a full backup set. have you ordered the props? Graupner sells a 6mm-8mm bushing for the yoke so that it fits tightly around the prop adapter. If need be I have an extra one that I can mail to you.
