I personally can't wait to get hy hands on a DX8, but the count down timer on their website seems like a joke to me. Even though I hope that I'm wrong, I don't for one minute believe it will be available anywhere when that timer hits 0.

Even though the timer annoys me, I agree that the marketing approach is great at building interest.

Well there are some extra features. BUT for that price range I want a nice quality looking case. I'd get the 9503 for the quality gimbals and overall better Tx over the dx8 for the same price.

Well from what I've read there are a few things. The DX8 is supposed to have/include:
1) fully ball-raced gimbals (as nice or better than the 9303
2) Latency of the DX7se.
3) telemetry and flight log
4) memory card
5) have the thumb wheel (IMO easier programming and interface)
6) more heli features such as e-ring, and programmable swash
7) backlit screen
8) timer on throttle, and alarms
9) assignment of any switch to any function

I think there is more, but that’s all I can remember reading about. We’ll have to wait and see, but I am expecting the DX8 to be a significant upgrade from the DX7.

As nice as it is the DX7 is an old radio. It is based on the 7202 and one of the best radios JR ever put out for the price but it does need a facelift to keep up with the competition.

I think that the $450 price includes a Rx, a governor sensor, and a temp sensor.

Flight modes on a radio is a huge factor for me. I really like setting them up at the beginning and trim the plane later. It makes flying easier and more enjoyable.

Half the people at my club fly spektrum, including myself. What should I tell them about them being brainwashed? I'm not defending spektrum, but you didn't back up your statement at all.

I have been flying with Spektrum since it first came out. I have a 9303 and a 12X with 63 planes. I have never had a glitch, fly away or crash caused by the radio. I cannot say the same for my 72Mhz days.

If you install Spektrum properly it will not give you any problem.
