For weeks I've read post after post about "I need this sensor" or "that sensor" and MA vs. current vs. MAH and other drivel that doesn't apply to me.

But not once did I indicate in any way that the conversation shouldn't occur. I don't use the telemetry. But I sure make use of my throttle timer! I can tell when it's time to land the old fashioned way. When the aircraft no longer performs as it did on takeoff indicated by reduced climb ability, sound of the engine RPM, etcetera, then it's time to land.

But I certainly respect each of you and your right to have an opinion and request the features that apply to your situation. And you won't hear input or interference from me that I don't think what you're asking for is necessary.

I think there should be a little consideration that we can advocate what is important to us too.
Well said.

Yes, perfect. We can both be happy. If telemetry is important to you you should certainly use it. It's not important to me. For me my methods work great and I have 8 helicopters (soon to be 9 when the Blade 300 X is released). I can tell when the performance of my helicopter is declining without relying on telemetry. That's the point. Different things are important to different people!

And I'm not going to try to inhibit you from asking for what is important to you when it doesn't apply to me!!

Happy flying!

Spectrum 8 deal

The deal is over. I went to my LHS to ask about this radio and they told me horizon hobby has sold out and the 2 free rx deal is done. I called HH today and they confirmed it. Why does rc group still allow this banner ad to continue? I only found out about this earlier this week from my AMA model aviation mag. How long has this deal been available. Despite reading all the problems this radio had on this thread I was ready to take a chance. Oh well, I'll just using my 6xi.

I'm more into "I want all sensors my radio can support" (and are useful for my models). I also ordered a g-force sensor lately. Just because I'm curious

Of course I can fly without. The throttle-activated timer is a big leap forward. But I want more
(I'm sure I am the same idiot like with the DX8 and jump on the DX18 train early)

Yeah, jumping on the early train is a tendancy I have too!! Probably not the DX18 though. I'll be satisfied with the DX8 for a long time. But, there are plenty of other Horizon products I'll jump in early and buy in the foreseeable future.

I've seen this too. It's not repeatable, but it's not that rare either. The alerts of short, just a single hit, then it goes away.

Still waiting for mine to go wrong too. I think some people in this thread need to move to another brand of Tx.

Are you using all sensors (flight log, temp, voltage, rpm) ? Maybe that's the reason
