Thanks, I want it for my Bergen Twin. It will be flying at over 30 pounds. So will probably leave it with just stabilization, until I'm fairly confident a GPS product is very reliable. I'll look into the APM.

Seems lots of mis-information going about. There are no limitations on the equipment since the last time I looked into it. As long as you have all your i's dotted and your t's crossed, it is a tedious process but not denied by waypoint technology. The market is not here, it is a world-wide market they are looking at. The DJI system would have had issues entering Canada if GPS waypoints were a no-no for AP. That system has been available here since its release. I would like the SK GPS for other reasons, not for AP, as I am not wanting to turn my hobby into a fly for hire endeavour. Did that once with another hobby and now I can't be bothered with that former hobby. Take care.

Tonight, I downloaded some files from my 720 in my AS350 and was pleasantly surprised to find and average vibration level of .4. This is a 12s system using an 11t pinion, 112 maingear, three blade Century head, Century scale blades (600mm), and a stock Align 600MX 510kv motor. I am really happy with the results and it does show that on occasion, a diamond is found in a pile of rubble. Take care.

Sounds like you know how to build a heli.

Nice.

Thanks, Rickn816. The motor is what I am referring to as a diamond in a pile of rubble as there are lots of reports of bad vibes coming from Align motors. So far, I have been very lucky with the ones I have. Take care.

From your experience, how it behaves better SK720,on belt heli,or those with TT(Torque Tube)? I ask this because I have not any heli with TT.

With TT I usually just decrease the Accel Start and Stop gains 5 or 10% and go fly. It all depends on how strong your TT drive gears are as it varies with different brands.

The last one I saw with that problem, was because the end bell was not fully seated in the brand new motor.

Torque Tube drives have four gears between the tail drive gear the the tail rotor. If any of the four are not perfect, the vibrations will increase. If your drive tube is not straight, you will have more vibrations.

Belt drive is easier to maintain and keep lower vibration levels.

I have not seen any difference in vibration levels between a belt drive and a well-maintained torque tube drive.

With TT drive never mount the gyro on the tail gearbox, as that’s the highest vibration point. Mount it up front or on the bottom depending on your frame design.

What I do is run up the helicopter without blades and feel various gyro mounting locations for vibration. You will be amazed how easy it is to feel high vibration areas. From my experience the tail gearbox is always the worst location.

I wanted to use a Lcd field without power the chopper and used the following solution;through a Sbec and using a mini USB cable I powered SK720.
