I just flew with logging on and SL at 100 and all was well.
I when I tried to look at the file all I had was 999 and it will not open.

I unplugged the battery before the gyro initialized because I had to go get my neck strap

I was going back for another quick flight but the sun has fully set so maybe tomorrow

I love my Pyro 700-52L but I have a new gen 3 Compass 4926 that has a lot more power just sitting in the box..I dont need more power but I will have to try it when I get some 60C packs

When the "Bell Gains" setting levels out and stops changing, how ever many flights that takes, just make sure you don't "baby" the heli, just fly it as hard is you normaly would.......

Well,I asked exactly for that, I noticed that there are large variations in the values of the bell gain.So I shake as much the helicopter and then turn off Auto Trim.
thanks

=] these are completely 2 different things,

auto trim is reading the Tx sticks centres at start-up, turn this off allows the use of Tx trims, but they will need to be re-centred each time the heli is powered back up again,

self-tune is the bell gain function, found in the cyclic tab.

As Georgi stated, you are mixing up two functions that have nothing to do with each other. Bell gains have nothing to do with any trim on your TX, and having the auto trim at init box checked doesn't prevent you from using the trim on your TX and has nothing to do with self tuning Bell gains.

The Bell gains will "tune" themselves in after several flights from the default values set by Skookum. They tune to your particular flyng style, and once you notice the values no longer changing, you can disable the "auto tune Bell gains" box if you wish. Also notice that they only tune to the cyclic tab that you are flying, so once finalized, you should copy the same values to your second bank, then save the file to your PC since reloading another file you may have saved earlier will set the gains back to pre tuned values again.

The auto trim at init function sets the neutral position of the sticks at startup and accounts for any small stick centering discrepancy. There is no real reason that I see to disable this. You may have to trim the heli for every flight if you do.

You shouldn't be using any trim or subtrim on your TX with any FBL gyro. If you are needing to do this, then you need to adjust out the drift mechanically following the instructions in the Skookum Wikii page under the Advanced tuning for 3D section, step #4. http://www.skookumrobotics.com/wiki/...720_%26_SK_540

Ok gentlemen, I followed your advice, I reread the manual and is a day without wind and I flew.
After mechanical adjustment for perfect horizontal flight, look what position reached the swash:
Pretty big deviation about 7/8 degrees. What do you think?
