When you hook it up to your PC, note the firmware revision. I'm curious.

Thanks.

That is what I thought. The self-leveling upgrade should be available in a few weeks. Apparently Skookum took this week off - the e-mail messages state they wil be back on May 10.

Well, Just had my first crash w/ the 720, and it appears it was a failure of the unit? I've flown it about 20 times. Plugged in the lipo and got the usual up down of the swash, then checked for a solid green light and proper control movement. Sat the heli down, and did like I always do, switched into idle up one. Picked it up into a nice stable hover, it banked to the right and wouldn't correct. All it did was take out the blades, but I am worried- the flight log is just wild, take a look.. I only took off the heli once, but it shows it taking off twice, first time w/ the stick at idle?? Afterwards the unit appears to function normally, but heck it did before also

Sry to hear that Bill - just curious: what version of the firmware are you running - 1.0? Are you using a satelite receive with the unit or a standalone receiver?

I've had about the same number of flights as you, probably 15 or so with a 2 bladed head and the last 5 or so I've switched over to my 4 bladed head on a CopterX 450.

I had only one problem with my unit after updating the firmware from the Beta version to 1.0 where the "Rotate 90 Deg" checkbox engaged and I didn't notice or test before the next flight and ended up doing in a set of blades. Otherwise haven't had any issues.

Gotta say I don't know what firmware, but I have not updated it. I'm running two satellites.
This is the first problem I've had, don't know whether to try it again or what.

The firts time it lefts off is when you went to carry the heli over to take off.. No vibs!

Did you recheck to make sure the gyro knows the correct direction?

Edit:
I also see a little right input on take off, 2 stick movements to the right. Was the heli still on the ground at this point.. ?

Yes, it was still on the ground. If the first "flight" was me carrying the heli over to set it on the ground, why doesn't this show on my other 19 flight logs ( some posted on this thread ) ? The tail was/is responding correctly, but even if it wasn't it wouldn't cause cyclic input.

You carried the heli.

Is this the way you always start up?
The gyro needs to be quiet - unmoving for a few seconds before it arms.
When I start mine, the heli is in place before I turn on the power, then I don't touch the sticks or the heli until the head bumps and the LED turns green.

On the other hand, do you get the correct responses from the PC Setup software?

Blade uploaded your file for Skookum. They should get back with us next week. They can tell a lot about the heli from those files.

Rick, there was a LOT wrong w/ the flight log- Including the fact that I only took off once and it shows twice. I'm not a great heli flyer, but believe me when I tell you that when it started to the right I started giving it left. And a Trex 450 pro is NOT a slow to respond heli.
There was nuthin' there.
