Well, I only have one, which is my last one.

When a manufacturer (Dynam) ignores problems with their products and the distributor (Nitroplanes/Hobbypartz) doesn't seem to know anything about what they sell and can't replace parts with the correct part, they have lost me as a customer.

It's like playing Russian Roulette. I think you're very lucky to have bought three and not to have any problems.

This is new to me, from reading about switching UBECs before I buy one. Apparently the noise from these BECs can potentially interfere with 2.4gig systems. The recommendation is to locate it away from the RX and/or use a choke which some come supplied with.

Sounds like something you might be able to bench test.

Very interesting. That's exactly where I will start, once I am done with my epoxy work

First and second flights today. I like it. It's not perfect, but I like it.

It is very pitch sensitive to throttle, which may be why Dynam put in so much down thrust. I'm going to experiment with the down thrust and see what, if any, effect changing it has on how the plane handles. I also think I'll see what effect some out thrust has.

The second landing was on the mains for about 10 feet....looked good.

I guess I'll make it into a WWII C47 over the winter.

Congrats on the Maiden, Darwood. Plz post video for those of us who may be temporarily flight-challenged? Doing the C-47 Skytrain, eh? It will be good to have another one in the squadron.

Finally a day with less than 20+ mph wind I had 8X6 3 blade props
and decided to try master 7X4 3 blade props -not good- very underpowered
and becouse our state is broke the park with our paved flying field is
closed and this does not like grass - first attempt to right second
you have to hold full up to keep it from nosing over - well it jumped
in to the air before it had the proper flying speed. but once up it flew well.

GREAT news, Darwood! After so much trouble and aggravation, to what do you attribute your new-found successful flights? Was it the re-programming of the ESC's? I'm really happy things are working out for you!

No, I wish it was as simple as re-programming the ESCs.

Nitroplanes finally replaced the ESCs and harness. But, they sent me ESCs/harness from some other airplane, so it didn't fit the Skybus. I had to re-do the harness to make it usable.

I guess the bottom line was, one of the original ESCs was bad.

Gotcha. I remember them sending you new ESC's that were a problem (didn't fit, or something like that) and just didn't realize you worked on them to make them function for you.

Well it appears your right prop is on backwards, you can see it at 3:03. The round or concave shape of the prop is facing back while your left prop is forward.

I was wondering the same thing....something didn't look right about the way the props are spinning but I could never get a good look through the video. Are the props spinning the right way?

Thanks Tony. I now have 4 flights on it.

I don't think I've ever flown a plane where I had to "feather" the throttle as much on takeoff and landing like I have to on the Skybus. I like a good amount of rolling on the mains for both takeoff and landing and that's the only way I've found that gives me that. Anything close to full throttle and it just wants to go straight up, which is not a pretty takeoff. And no throttle on landing just gives me a bouncing three-point.

Oh well, I guess it's just going to take time to get used to it.
