GarryK we had a heck of a time getting the old shaft out of the motor too. As for taking off in grass I have never actully taken mine off from pavement and I have footage to prove it just look back to pages 110 and 113 ,you will see me taking off in grass in both of these videos

I also figured out a way to drop a parachuter without a servo. It doesn't look as hidden as the bomb dropper did but it still looks ok I'll have a video and another post on it later

So here is another question...Would you trust your bird to a Hobbyking Orange rx or one of Grayson's new Redcon rx? I don't have a AR500, AR6100, etc. Frankly, I can't afford $60 rx's. That is why I have been flying Parkzone ultra micro BNF's up to this point! I am really ready to move on, though, and the C-47 is an awesome looking plane for a great price. Great price or not, $119 is still alot of money, and I would hate to cause it to dirt dive due to a knock-off rx. Thoughts?

Mine is flying with a Hobby King Spektrum rx knock off that don't even have shrink wrap on it. I have like 6 of these in different planes and only have trouble at 2 fields. The AR 6100's directly from Spektrum have the same trouble there, so I don't fly those fields anymore. If you can fly an AR6100 somewhere, you can fly the aftermarket ones also. IMHO

I bought my skybus ready to fly from nitro planes (in 2.4gh) and although you have to lug around an extra transmiter it works just fine. But if you want to stick with your old radio then just buy the fuselage that comes with everything but the reciever. (And in my opinion $119 is a huge deal most outdoor aircraft are $200,300$,$400 or even $500 dollars!)

Ok, I think I am sold on it

I plan on doing the tail wheel mod, so what size wire is recommended? Also, is the adhesive that comes with the plane adequate, or should I buy some epoxy to assemble it. I saw a video from Tony at Nitroplanes where he built the Dynam A10, and he said the supplied adhesive wasn't near as good as a true epoxy.

I used hot glue. Gotta act quick with it though.

I've got 4 of the ones with no case and they all work fine. I've had genuine spektrum AR6200's brown out on me a couple times. Not so with the clones.

We used regular epoxy

Hi

hot glue is great on servo's cause (secert ) if you put alcohol
on the glue it will come off.

Hot glue for joining the fuse - or flying parts
I would be very careful as if you get a hot day the glue
will soften . and may not hold .

Airliner configuration, white with decals. $130 RTF
C-47 Green with decals $149 RTF

Particular questions. If someone could photo the right pages from the manual and post them here, I'd appreciate it.
Size of the ESCs. I'm only getting about 15 Amps from BOTH motors, which seems very low.
