Jart Maiden

Hey Steve,

The Jart got its maiden today. Thougth the wind was strong enough but I was wrong. The first flight ended in a quick Controlled Crash Landing. Only damage was one of the control horns on the aileron came out. Some 5 min epoxy fixed that. I reduced the control throws for the second launch but there was just not enough lift/wind and got a lap of the hill before landing. Guess there is always a next time.

Well after a top weekend at the Warialda fly in we made it to the mountain today
Myself,Laurie.Phill,Big John and Little John.
Wind was about 5 from the North.
Got a bit of a fly in from the east face but it was too much from the left to really enjoy
We caught a few thermals with the eagles
Another crazy base jumper lobbed himself out of a plane above camp
Some bungy and night flying finished the day out
The cabins are all full of jellfish flyers so we have set up camp in the hanger
So hoping for some better wind tomorrow
Will keep you posted

Ahhh, I wish I was there. I only have a slight cough now I'll keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow. Good luck & watch the jellies.

manillia in november

just a note to say what a fab time in manillia again the winds were moderate but the hospitality was a1
over the two days i didnt stop flying, learning, watching jellyfish, and of course bush walking for planes and found a few, none were lost

on the way down to manillia stehl pulled into my hanger and had a look at the mijet under construction and gave it thumbs up with the wing to be fitted to fuse
