Hmm. I can use my fm radio and buddy box to the DX7 so I suspect it should work.

Sounds like we need at least half a dozen training sessions between now and then to work out all the potential bugs with the buddy boxes. "Yes, honey, I have ANOTHER scout training meeting AGAIN tonight."

I'll try my DX6i tonight with the DX6 to see if it works.

I tried it once, but it did not play well. Seems to be something with the throttle or maybe the elevon mixing... heck could be both.

I tried to buddy box with my combat wing a couple weeks ago and it did not work between DX6i (master) and DX6 (slave); nor did it work between DX6i (master) and JR (slave). The connection worked, and I had control with the slave box, but no matter how I tried reversing channels and plugs, I always had something backwards on elevons. My theory is that the elevon mixing is set up differently on the DX6i. But for a Vapor I don't think it'll be a problem since it's rudder-elevator.

If anybody has a Hitec-compatible buddy box, I could slap my Spektrum module into my Optic 6 and bind to the Vapor. I don't have the Hitec trainer cord, though. As a last resort, I could pull my DragonLink module off my Futaba 9cap and put the Spektrum module in it and link up with anybody who has a Futaba with trainer mode (again, though, I don't have a cable for that).

Actually it took a bit of searching to find that one Missed you at combat the other day. We need to get together and practice for Civil War. How is that wing coming?

Ha ha....I ran out of time, so I just repaired the old one for St George. The repair worked great, although my wing is a brick now. It went down hard at the combat demo at the show and too my surprise, the repair held. Also hit a bare tree at combat in the park later that night, sent her into a spiral right off of the curb on the road. Again, tossed her back in the air to join the fray. The bad thing is, I FINALLY broke that prop I used for a couple months, so now I am onto the HC props that break when you look at em.
I reinforced the nose with a triangle of fromica with spray adhesive and tape. I think the weight from beginning till now must be close to double I will finish the new one before the war.
