hello neoradix

I am not familiar with the location. For TREX supplies we have a local hobby shop that carries all the original ALign parts and helis. We also have a local hobby shop that carries all the Align clone parts. but they are located on the Metro Area. For nitro fuel, they are also the ones selling the fuel. Each hobby shop here has their own brand of heli to sell. So if its Align that you are after the local dealer is The PRO RC hobbies. located at Hobbies Mall stall #17 at the back of Mickeys Grill near SM MALL of ASIA at Pasay City

Did you ever make it to Naga, and did you ever find a flying site?

My parents live in Naga, and I'm thinking about heading over this year.

Cheers

Moving to the Philippines

Hi guys,

I will be moving back to the Philippines by the end of March, presently located in the UAE and enjoying scratchbuild foamy planes.

I'm staying in Panay Island, Pavia and I was wondering what type of foam can I find there?

Is there a hobby shop in Iloilo or where is the nearer shop from there...

I can always order from Hobby King...

Thank you in advance for infos.

RC in Calape Bohol.

Hi guys,

I've been in the Philippines for 11 years now and flying foamys here in Bohol for almost 3 years. I use cheap whitebread foam with hotglue and finish/reinforce with FG mesh Drywall tape and Latex paint. All my gear is from Hobby King in HK. I'm retired and doing it on the cheap. I have used a few hobby shops in Manila and find the prices just too high and shipping by local carriers cost more than from overseas.

Here's a recent flight in my back yard with my new bird, the T-Gull.
TG 3 5 11.wmv (1 min 42 sec)

When I want more action I fly the deltas.

Happy landings,
Steve.

Thanks for the link. BB,

I signed up and I'm waiting confirmation. I'm hoping there is some activity here in the Bohol area. We'll see.

Hey guys,

I will be frequenting ph in the coming years and will be staying more there than in the US. I am new in the hobby. Currently have a blade mcpx, 120sr and a storm 450 from hk. Been flying the micro helis the past few months more than the 450 since i am still learning the craft. I am planning of getting another heli to bring with me when i come back this year. Looking at the aligns or the walkeras but i want to make sure that the parts are easy to requisition. Which brands are common there in the ph? Also, i will be staying in Manila.
