It ran really well mate, no one had a camera out when I had the tug in for a test DOH! I will take her back down the pond this afternoon (weather permitting) and get some running shots.
She has more power and is visibly faster with the brass props was very pleased with the performance, not happy with the cheap ESC's in her (very poor low speed control) and will replace them with a pair of Mtroniks Viper15's later. I need to get stuck in to building her decks and finish her superstructure.

Cheers Bruce

Goes like stink..Her prop wash is similar to a trolling motor..

May want to make sure your tow bollards are well secured..both on the tug and what ever you tow.

Been busy with work and building USS Long Beach's new bow but finally did some work on my Tug!! Need new ESC's as I 'borrowed' one for my cabin cruiser and had it turn into a smoke unit!! A pair of Mtroniks Viper20's are on order as replacements.
Anyway took the jigsaw 2 her stern the other day and cut out the fixed stern roller, I have built up a working/turning one out of some pvc pipe scrap styrene and a brass rod for the axle. Then fixed the mounting in with glass reinforced filler.
Also began fitting deck supports for her and cutting some new 3mm ply decks for the midship section.
Next I need 2 do deck supports for stern area and work out access hatch for rudders and servo.

Bruce, if you can find some, get a couple of pieces of thin nylon, (like a washer almost) and put them at the ends of the roller and it will keep it from binding on the ends of the PVC. They sell sheets of teflon (really expensive) and then just cut it out of that, or just find some nylon.

Its cool mate, it free spins nicely (the roller is pvc, the 'ends' on it are 1.5mm styrene CA'd on) the roller is not glued in yet until the area around it gets repainted.

Last weekend while waiting for the paint to dry on USS Long Beach I got stuck into making up deck sections and the lower part of the superstructure on Southern Titan. The deck sections are cut from different sheets of 3mm ply and looks like a patchwork quilt!! New bit of superstructure is 2mm styrene normally I would have drawn up a plan but this time just made it up as I went...
