Is the issue due to it leaking or is it because the cockpit is open to the bilge?

Ah!

Might be messy but you could tape up any cracks on the outside and slosh the inside with thinned epoxy. (remove tape once epoxy has set)

would be a shame not to be able to sail the alden anymore- you did a great job on that one too!

What works great (i used this on Somers which was leaking like a sif through the balsa) Is to slosh Waterbased Polyurethane Floor varnish on the inside, with the added comfort of being able to clean up stuff with water until it`s hardened. That sealed her up for good.

Special thanks to Dean at http://hardware.scalemodelco.com/ for all the miniture harken winches and blocks. Great guy to work with. I can't wait to get my second order from him.
Hi, tried this link and it didn't work. Do you have a good one and were the prices good?

Nice boat, too.

Have a look at the pics.

I used Henries super patch floor latex leveler, the fom is a sheap tin bread form, and the lead weight is 4 1/4 pounds.

I like the floor patch stuff, because you can easily sand or file it into shape and a 25 pound bag is only 12 gringo dollas.
Where did you get the floor patch stuff and how do you make the form? I need to make a couple keel weights. I was looking at using clay or casting resin or latex, but that gets expensive for any large size weight. I'd appreciate any help.
