B-2 fanfold stealth bomber

Flew my latest fanfold "green" foam B-2, it ROG nicely, and once I figured out the CG, it was fun to fly. Runs on 2 480's, cost me about 10.00 worth of fanfold, and 5 hours of time.

wingspan

71" tip to tip, I put a coroplast floor in it to prevent the battery from finding another way of ejecting. I also put a foam battery tray, and filled the wings with that expanding foam from a can, seems to give it a bit more durability, and did not add too much to the weight. For a spar I used balsa and carbon fiber, and LOTS of fibertape.

B-2 plans

shockwave_rc.tripod.com was where I got the idea, then just made it up as I went. I used the "green" 1/4" fanfold foam, and just pretty much cut it to the size I wanted. Came out 71" wingspan, 27" nose to tail, I added some dihedral and wing twist so it flies without fins. I think it's around 2 pounds with a full complement of JDAM's

yaw

There is some yaw, but I minimized that by adding the dihedral and some wing twist. Input is very slight, too much stick and it over corrects of course, and in a turn you need altitude if you make a mistake. It's fun to fly, but not relaxing by any means.

livingwater,

I like your use of the self expanding foam as a filler in the wing. Great idea.
BTW, how did you match the color on B-2, paint?

color match

I used black and gray "zagi" tape, if I had more gray, I would have given it another layer, then it would not have the stripes. Covering it was one of the most time consuming parts of making the plane.
