Clancy Aviation Yard Bee build from plans

This is my first attempt at building a plane from just plans downloaded from here as a pdf file then printed out (thanks Hemikiller) Here is the initial work I had done the first thing I did was make paper templates of the parts to avoid cutting up the plans and for multiple copies of parts. I was able to open the pdf plans in photoshop and cut and paste the parts and keep the scale correct. For parts that are too long for a standard piece of paper I will either print them on tiled paper or take it to a print shop and use a larger printer.

Once I got the templates printed for the wing I started roughly cutting out parts I will sand them once I get everything cut out then start assembly.

Below are pictures of the current work done. This is just something I doing s a project in my spare time so progress may be slow so keep checking back and I will post more as I progress.

More progress

Got some more work done on the wing. I got all the parts cut out and sanded besides finial sanding which will be done after assembly.

I also assembled the leading edge and the wing tips. Hopefully this weekend I can get the wing framed up and do the finial sanding Pic of all the parts below.

Thanks, all I got left on the wing is some finish sanding and rounding the leading edge.

On the fuselage I have been getting all the parts cut out, all I left to cut are the wing mounts and all the 1/16" plywood pieces.

Won't get work done until Monday. The goal that day will be get the reset of the pieces cut out, then weather permitting get the wing sanding done and fuselage parts sanded and start assembly.

Good luck with your build, make sure to post pics.
