....... WAY OVERPOWERED ... It needs some tuning , but it flies very nice.

Its about 6.5 ounces ready to fly with the new motor and ESC.

I think I've got the 20" rebalanced. The smaller and lighter plane is a lot more fussy about weight and balance changes. All I can do now is wait for the new motor.

I gutted my original grey 27" last night and rebuilt it from white Depron Aero. It turned out really nice and was noticeably lighter than the regular Depron airframe I have hanging in the garage. Electronics are in. I gotta do the linkage when I get home tonight and it will be done.

I got one of those 10g BL on the way aswell.its for a friend though. I have a Park250 on the way from HK aswell. Have you tested that 300 yet?

for my 1700kv BW on the Edge540T.

The TURNIGY 2204-14T Outrunner is decent,nice and quite and Prob only good for indoor.Seeing im fly 99% outdoor the Bluewonder is Sweet.

I tried the 300 in an Electrifly Edge 540 and it's a nice little motor. I was going to put it in my new Sbach last night but the HK motor weighs 3 grams less. Both are more than enough for this plane so I bet Wamsy's Motrolfly is just insane. I need to try one of those Blue Wonders.

I can't wait to fly them together. I've got all the parts to complete Rob's airframe, he just needs to cough up some cash first. We could have three of my 27's at Peeler soon! I don't remember what my grey one weighed fully loaded. It's probably in this thread somewhere.

Finished up the new one last night. It weighs 6 oz with 430mAh 2S pack. I was hoping the Depron Aero would get it under 6 oz.

The smaller one weighs 3.8 oz with 300mAh 2S pack. Not good enough! I hope my parts get here soon. Probably should have stuck with a flat wing instead of the KFM 4. I do have more foam. LOTS more!

I guess my weight at 6.4oz with battery is not as bad as I thought.

Exactly. I'm not so sure the Depron Aero is worth it considering how much stiffer standard Depron is. Should the new plane's tail twist and require bracing, the extra weight added could totally defeat the purpose of using the lighter and more expensive foam.

The only thing I have noticed is that mine doesn't really like inverted harriers at the moment.

I think I need to move the CG a little big farther back.

Yeah, no reason for bad harriers. We know the design is good.

I suppose 6 oz is ok considering that a plane this size is usually made of 2 or 3mm foam. Those are loaded with carbon strips and bracing though. I love the simplicity and strength of the 6mm foam for this size plane. Simple and fast builds. No braces other than the two spars. Tough as nails, easily repaired and flies great!

The maiden flight on mine was great! Right up until the aileron servo went wacky. Easy fix but man it was flying soooooo good. I wanted to fly it more. I may not get another chance for a while.
