Tres - If you still running on brushed motor does your ESC has the hard cut-off option ? if you do, you no longer need the glide lock anymore. With hard cut-off, the motor stops with toque stays on and just find the wright wing angle by bumping the throttle a bit at a time.

The PH has a brushless outrunner, I can't remember if I set it to hard cutoff or not, I'll check. Thanks for the idea

1600 pack is too heavy for the PH-4, more likely for the yet ordered Lazy Hawk though. Personally, I use 800 pack for the PH but if you can get a smaller pack say 350 to 700 probably would be a better suit for the PH-4. Park Hawk flies real well when light.

See if you can get your hands on a 350-500 range 2S packs. 800 pack will provide you with enough to get the PH going way up and down say 3 round trips when new. I have nothing smaller than 800 and just don't want spend the money for smaller pack just for the PH. But, I am firm to believe the PH with smaller pack not only yields longer gliding but nicer to move around as well, however, you will suffer a shorter air time though. But worth try with a smaller pack.

I run a 730 on my older PH, but it's a 3s. I definitely agree with LiG that lighter is better, the difference between how my PH flies on a 730 pack versus a 910 is very noticeable.

Order id 1846 you guys know whats up

All right I get the picture so I should get a 800 got it. What is the estimated flight time? And you guy's are 100% sure that the 1600 is to heavy? I spoke to a and I quote (RC expert) end quote at a local hobby shop he said "oh it will have great flying time and will be light enough for the Ornithopter to stay a float" I can clearly see I was lied to what a RC expert he was. thanks guys

I think quality of the flight is more important than how long I can stay up. If you want just the air time I would strap a pack from 1600 all the way to 2500 pack which I did that with Park Hawk 4 when the wind speed was up to 23MPH before. Yes, the PH can haul the weight but you are flying a rock. The art of flying SK's birds is fly them and have them move like the real bird not a machine. So if you can get some smaller packs <800 in addition to the 800 packs. You will need several packs to have a one good outing day.
