Someone was telling me about a fix for the TT40 pro regarding an unreliable spring in the carb...
Can somebody tell me more about this? |

yeah, take the carb off, theres a smaller screw on the throttle arm sidetake that screw out it will allow you to remove the throttle barrel, the spring should come right out, then put the barrel back in, and put the screw back in, with a dab of locktite,
also pick up a throttle cable kit and a ball link kit, it will help out with your throttle linkage binding, feel free to call me John, or if you want me to help ya get that one dialed in. hope you had fun this weekend!! |

Ditto what Stevem9 said, but I slipped a small (~3/32" - 1/8" long) piece of fuel line over the nipple in the throttle (where the spring is normally located) before putting it all back together. This keeps the throttle barrel from rattling and helps to push it open.

Hi there. I am to stick a Nelson engine to my Viper 500. The problem is that the tank will not fit, I will like to put the bubble Jet or one of Shadells 6 oz tank. Any suggestions, I dont want to cut threw the fuselage area, another option will be to place the tamk inside the fuselage, not on the tank area. Any suggestions for solving this issue?

Some of the more narrow Jett tanks will slide forward inside the Viper tank compartment. In most cases I have dremel'd the former until the tank fits. If you can't slide the tank that far forward, simply put it under the wing as far forward as possible (which will better align it with the cg). Directly over the landing gear plate is perfect, but just make sure the landing gear bolts don't rub on the tank. If they do, shorten the bolts
