My first ever CP heli flight, walkera 4g6
Well my brand new 4g6 showed up tonight.. so I unpacked it, read the manual, charged up all 4 of my new lipo's, input the "newbie" settings for the 2801, balanced my blades, checked my tracking, verified my pitch with my pitch gauge, attached my training gear... and placed the helicopter in the middle of the floor...
I followed Radd's guide, and well, it is really hard to keep that little heli in that damn box.. (I think I need some rubber grips like you find on the TREX 250.)
All four packs spent and I had not lifted off the ground,
Recharged all 4 packs; flew 3 packs in my msr while I waited...
time for round 2...
Following Radd;s guide at the end of pack 8 i was sliding along the floor... weeeeeee.
Time for the action.. I skipped pack 9 (Sorry Radd)
This time I got off the ground and held it about 18 inches off the ground.. held the hover for about 10 seconds then started to drift out side of my "3ft box", and I landed as gently as possible, some where "oh " throttle cuts to aviod objects in the room..... reset & repeat.
By the end of the 12th pack I had her up in the air about 4 feet and could sort of hold a hover. I think she needs a bit of trimming, and I am going to get some fly bar weights.
So night one:
Number of packs ran: 12
max altitude 4-5 feet
Hard landings: @10
broken parts: 0
Longest flight: 45 seconds.
All in all not a bad night.. tommorow.. tic-tocs...
