Art Hobby Hybrid DL 1.5

For Sale Art Hobby Hybrid DL 1.5
Discus launch glider.
This plane is new the only things done to the kit is the ailerons were started to be cut out and the tail parts were painted. The only thing missing is the push rods for the rudder and elevator. The hardware set is included but not shown in the pictures. This Kit sells for $169.00 from Art Hobby. I would like to get $125.00 plus shipping.

I will need to find a good box to put it in and get a price. The plane is light. But it will depend on the box I can get.

I am getting up in age but am interested in the DLG thing.I like the wood design of this one, seems kind of a classic look to it. Do you know the AUW compared to some of the newer styles as low as 8-9oz how does it compare. I dont think I could throw a 2 lb plane around but I also don't have 300+ dollars for the light ones.

Weight

I had one of these with 4 HS-55 servos, NiMH battery, and almost zero nose lead at 10.5 oz.

This plane has never been built. The only things done is the ailerons were started and the tail has been painted. nothing else has been done. These kits are great I have a large electric sailplane by the same company and it flies great! http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1169101
Look at this link for the quality of Art Hobby planes. You won't be disappointed.

Flying

This is a entry level DLG. Flys in cruise mode pretty efficiently and thermals well for an experienced pilot. It is not a big launcher, gets doggy if flown too slow. Not a floater. Be sure to build with the full span flaperons, as camber changing is useful with this airfoil. I flew this with no launch presets, I just held full rudder deflection with the transmitter in my left hand and released as the plane squared up. Tail mounting must be kept as light as possible, but the fin tends to pop the joint if you land on the ground with any yaw. A fun little toy, but probably a little too fast for a beginner. Hope this helps.

Do you still have the foam wing saddles the cores were cut from? I would need those during assembly. Also, please quote shipping to Houston Tx 77006 in a PM please.

I Will consider trades for this kit. Maybe a Penatrator slope ship or coyote.
