I should be posting less pictures and fly the damn thing instead ...

In a few weeks it should hopefully be ready for the maiden (Camp Pendelton most likely).

I took thse pictures two years ago at the Luftwaffenmuseum in Berlin Gatow, the DDR MiG-21's were in some advanced state of disrepair,

Do you have some anhedral in yours ? I have some in mine, the wing bottoms lie flat.

I just noticed that Su-17 has a ton of anherdal.

This shows the amount of anhedral pretty good I guess, I took this in the Air Force museum in Dayton.

Wouufff , finally the Mig take off and @ the beginning I was so busy trimming the beast, the sky was dark a the plane ad the perfect camouflage for the day. The same color as the Grove City dump.....I was able to tame the beast and make few pass , my main retract did not want to come down and I ad to make a belly landing , no damage and know I'm very happy.
The first thing I will change : is to move the main wheels 1 1/2 inch toward the CG, and ad a hard wheel in the front. This one is a keeper.
plenty of oumpf on 8 cells.
Thanks to the two brothers Jeff and Greg , those guys are very fine gentleman's.
I will post some pictures later, my Canadian colegue Ken Park is doing a very good job with is new camera.

Need to reduce aileron throw by 50% ? ... move CG forward a bit too?? Looks like you are feeding down trim.

Yes ailerons for sure, par contre the CG is almost right. I ad to ad up trim.

Greg and I were hoping that we would all meet up and talk shop again this year. We had the best time talking over dinner, drinks and sharing stories. You’re a top notch pilot and your skills kept your Mig in shape for more action. During your scale flight I did call out to the judge you were simulating a gear failure condition at landing for a few extra points. Greg caught the pic with the very gray sky. Good luck on the up-grades and I will be watching for flight reports. On our way out of the Air force museum we saw Ken, Rob and Paul making their way in. We bet they closed the place at 5pm and hope they had a safe trip back home. Till next year my friend.

Thank Jeff , Gregg, was a pleasure for this Canadian "team" to spent time with you ..To short , maybe you can come for a visit @ our Rideau Electric Jet Rally next year. The club will build a much longer paved runway to suit bigger Electric Jets.
