BTW...That is a 1957-61 PA22-108 Colt a 2 seat version of the TriPacer

I never gave it a thought but you are correct, it is a tri pacer, friend had one in Illinois.

Well lets see.... Summer 2007 those pics where taken. There is a full size Ultralite over the kitchen area that the wings were shortened so it would fit.

You are going to love your 3DHS airframe! I'm putting together a 46" Vyper right now and it is awesome! It goes together so quick!
Here's a couple pics. What I like about these airframes is that they are both light and sturdy...I don't know how they do that, but they do!

I'm hoping to save enough to buy a 59" Slick later this year.

Having just re-constructed the mid belly of a 51 Slick, I know how they do it and they are great air frames. I have always wanted a slick since the AJ Everything Slick video which is worth double the price of admission. But the Extra, love them so it is my first purchase.

That vyper has always had my attention too, even the names says screaming fun stuff.

DaOldGuy originated when I first started working in Cedar Rapids as a Desktop tech in 2001. There was this young girl from India that worked there, she walk in to the conference room I was working in with 2 younger techs. In Semi broken english, she asked them "who is daoldguy". Atleast that was the way I heard her say who is the old guy. I have had Grey hair since 17, not common in india I am told.

anybody know how the decals that came with my slick are supposed to work? I'm wondering whether the plastic backing is supposed to come off and how to get it off if it is.

Well it took a lot longer than I expected but I am finally done putting the decals on the slick. DO NOT USE a WATER METHOD with these decals. They are not made for it. I tried it on one side and I nearly ruined the decals. Now I just hope they will stay on. These ones are meant to be applied dry. I had to use a credit card to slowly work the plastic backing off. I think part of the problem might have been the age of the decals. they should have gone on a lot easier but it was really hard to separate them from the backing.

And no worries, I doinked my last landing of the day yesterday and broke a prop AND cracked my gear (which was surprising cause I did not bounce it too bad ). I have 15 flights now and 14 were perfect landings, lolol. Oh well, parts on order from ADCHobby.....
