Prolly Occasionally, I see a plane that looks a little interesting, then I see the PINK trim. I can't think of many things, although there are a few, the looks good with PINK trim.

hey guys... I made some progress on my 51 AJ slick tonight. I'd post pics but I really just don't have the energy to take them, email them to myself from my phone, and then post them.

I got the gear on with wheel pants. The tail feathers are done. I ran into a hang up though because I need longer servo arms on the rudder and elevator. I just can't get the throw it needs. Currently I'm only getting about 22 degrees of up elevator and about the same on the rudder. Both of them need 45 degrees.

I got the rx in and esc sort of installed. Another snag is the motor mount. I got a pretty big motor and it has a wide footprint vs some that are longer for the same weight. This is causing it to use the next size up for motor mount so the pre-drilled holes with blind nuts installed aren't going to work. What a pain. As you might be able to tell I have lost all my energy for the night. The firewall needing extra attention seems to big of a pain to handle tonight so I think I'm just going to pack it in.

well... I pulled on my bootstraps and got that motor mounted. It was easier than I thought it would be and the motor is all set up. Seems to spin up really nice. There is a little squeak right when it starts that is a little weird though.

Whoa... There has not been a "Dots" post in a Loooong time. I do like the clear window fuel gauge.

What motor are you installing Nate? Sounds like you may need a nap.

usually one of 3 things cause a "squeek"

bad bearing (doubtfull on new motor)
loose prop (your tired)
esc motor timing ( that may have 2 m's) timming

I have seen them do that if the prop is a tad too much to start.

Did a more thorough exam of the twist wreckage Saturday. Seems part of the problem was repair from the week before. Some thin CA had ran down the ventline and sucked up in the end of it it creating a 1/4 in plug. Also a small block of wood, I suspect a throttle brace, came loose and stuck in carb throat. I should've took a pic before I removed it. Wife was there at the time and said " I guess it's time to buy a new plane". Ordered it Sat afternoon and arrived on Tuesday lol. Slipstream 30cc sbach. Unfortunately work is interfering with assembly till the weekend.

PINK You guys should of seen My plane barbie she was done in Neon pink. Talk about showing up in the sky.

I believe this is color is closer to the NEON PINK
