the stock recommended setup for the 51 slick is a hacker A30-12xl with a 14x7 on 4s.

I'm thinking about running 3s because I have a whole bunch of 3s 2200 packs. I'm thinking I'll run two of them in parallel for 4400 mah and run a 15x8 on a power 32 motor.

Go 4S and be lighter, more powerful, and dominate the sky.

Just watch you pack weight if you go 3S4400, that means when it hits things it breaks easier.

actually I figured I get an extra 1100 mah for the same weight as the 4s setup. As far as power the only way to measure it is in watts. 3s can put out just as much power as 4s... just takes more amps to do it.

Well it was a twisted evening.
I some what got my firewall repaired last night and drove 50 miles to kansas city an picked up a prop. while I was in the city I dropped by a buddy's house where we finished the MX up.
Now when I got to the field I was setting my plane up at the end of the runway off to the side under the shade. Now the saftey officer wanted me to move to the middle of the pit area because one of the guys was having problems landing. I told him if they can't land on the runway then they need to go back on the buddy box. it didn't take long for some of the other guys to join me.
Now the 1st flight on the MX after 5 minutes It started getting hit with RFI. Up on landing I discovered the plug cap had worked loose an the plug wire was rubbing on the muffler. After fixing it I took it back up and she flew wonderful, maybe even a little better than before.
I got a chance to check out GMP's GW SBACH with a 50cc red lion engine. The plane only weighs 15 lbs and is a real floater and a great performer. It lands slower and in less space than my MX.
My brother manage to get bit by the prop on his arm starting his mustang though it was only a scratch, he was very lucky. Guess it runs in the family LOL.
Once the sun set I broke out the tigermoth 400 and I flew it till dark and I do mean Dark.,
I had to keep it in really close just to see it. I didn't get home till after 10
This has been a really great summer. But it's going quick and fall is just around the corner and winter is just down the block.

3cells will never give you the amperage that 4cells will. You have to go up in prop size to draw more amperage to equal the wattage. The higher the voltage the higher the amps per same load

Hello everyone, I'm about to bring back to life my 3 year old twist 40 version 1.
It's been seating on the basement for a long time, I've been flying a new GP Escapade and want to give it a try to my dusty twist.
In the past I only had three flights, including a battery disconnection and total destruction. Of course bought a new one and built it re using the parts. At first I thought it was to hard to fly for my skills but after reading lots of forums I've realized my out of control flights were a consequence of a tail heavy twist. A week ago I ordered some heavy spinners and some weights, I need to make it a little nose heavy I believe, right?
My question, I have TT pro .46 installed, what do you guys think for a good prop? I just got some APCs 11.5, 11,6, but I do have some other sizes.
Please let me know your thoughts and any advice for the manual's CG would be awesome.

12.25x 3.75 is the normal suggestion... it may work for you. However, Avon being at 7500MSL, you may need the 11x5 or 6.

Yea Zeek, 12.25x3.75 or an 11x6 should do. Take pics and/or vids.

I wish, forecasts here are for record setting 104 to 108 all week. 30 days of 100+ temps and no one sees an end to it. The longest streak was 42 days in 1980.

It is 96.4 at 9:30 this morning. Really depressing.
