I bet that was spectacular! Although my regrets to the pilot, that can't have done the plane much good, and a 90" P51 is a big bird to do that with!

The rain finally cleared out and I had a chance to fly both my T__T 60 and my Su-26...both flew well, and I'm happy to share that after increasing the gap on my spark plug on the DLE-30 in the SU-26, the high speed miss is gone! Thanks to Jedijody for that tip - those guys at VVRC are top notch. The Su-26 flew well, although my first attempt at landing was entertaining; it started to tip stall again, and the wing tips rocked back and forth - my spotter tells me he was sure that there is a grass stain on one of the wing tips...but I cranked up the throttle and the DLE-30 shot that plane up off the ground very quickly; my second go around went much better; settled the plane in at 1/8th throttle and flew it nicely to landing; whew!! Once I shut down the plane, I needed about 10 minutes for the adrenaline to lower enough that I could stop shaking. But no broken prop, and plane in one piece, call it a successful landing!!

Tom, did you get any rain this time?

Cheers,
Mike

Wayne Nice maiden Congrats.

MSchulz sorry to hear about all the rain I hate when that happens. and congrats on the Su and T60 thats an awesome flight report

The weather is just all over the place lately But I'll take these 110 temps over shoveling snow anyday.

Mt can't wait to see the pics and vids.

Bummer on the 90" cartwheel that must have been heart wrenching and exciting all at the same time.

DOG glad you ad a fun day at the show and yes that guys good Dang man. Its those flights that keep me practicing. LOL

well my friend Tek was filming when the Tweplica went in and he blew up a couple pics from the vid and I can see why the elevator wasn't working after I tried to put it in a flatspin, I think the flatspin move was just the last straw holding it together It was hovering great all day and that last flight was really tough to hold it but you can see in the pics the elevator was jammed under the stab during its final hover. and heres the vid too.
