Yes a 5C charge rate. There are quite a few brands that are getting them up that high. Gens Ace has had packs you can charge that fast for a while. You can find them at hobbypartz.com.

am I reading this correctly a 5C charge rate
"11 Amp charge"

Wayne are you using these... mixed reviews...
Yes,

I have several of the nanotech lipos and I like them. You read the charge rate correctly. They also have a great burst current capabiliy. 50C on that one. I have a 3600 with an 8C charge rate. None of my chargers are going to hiy 28 amps on a 3S pack though. That buddy code is because I have that battery ordered.

I have some of the 45 - 90C packs for my planes with high current demands.

I have started ordering all nanotechs for my packs. I order cheaper ones for some of the guys here that are watching the dollars.

Here is a Turnigy 1300mAh, 3S1P, 30C regular lipo - $8.43 plus shipping: http://www.hobbyking.com/buddy.asp?c...B-9E776723BB8F

These typically have a 2C charge rate.

The FunCub is ready! I am really anxious to get this one in the air. It should be a ton of fun. I have the floats together but I may need to make a couple of enhancements.

On Board Cam

So here is today's vid from the field I normally fly at.

Watch at 720p, if possible.

It's very noisy, wind and prop, so might turn your volume down.

Enjoy,

Bill

I'm running a hydramax 5cell 2000 mah on. my RX an servo's and I'm running a 4 cell hydramax 2000 mah And I can get several flight out of it with the Green Machine.
Kerwin50, no guessing, just like a lipo, you recharge after flying and measure how many mA you put back in. Divide that by 70% (I use 50% to be safe) of your battery capacity and you have the number of safe flights before recharging. I use A123 in every glow or gasser I fly. Nothing wrong with Nicad or NiMh, they work well too. It's kind of an old school/ new school thang, like FM vs. 2.4 radio technology.

By the way, EP Buddy out of Ohio sells A123 2300mAh for $26.99, and 1100mAh (perfect for 40-90 size rx use) for $19.99. if anyone is interested here is a link, Dale the owner is a great guy to work with. http://epbuddy.com/index.php?main_pa...ii86cb0d8vfm41 Later! DG

Thanks Waldo, ya itís a great place to fly.

Wayne, thatís what the pilot would see, if he couldnít swivel his head.
This is my home field, Dusters RC in Woodburn, OR.
We race at a field about fifty miles away on the other side of the Columbia River in Washougal, Washington, Fern Prairie Modelers. Itís the one you see in the earlier race video.

Chuck, that is my plan. I wanted to make sure the cam could ďseeĒ through the prop ok and no interference from the 2.4GHz receiver/esc/reg etc. And of course still be stuck on the front of the airplane after the landing.
Pretty happy with the results.

Bill

You have to use the link I sent and then add to your cart. If you don't use the link, you won't see the discount price. If you already have one in your cart, delete it and then use the link.

Now the Green Machine has been calling my name all day but it was just one of those busy days.
O Why can't I be rich an Retired, I buy one of those condo's in the AMA magzine that has it's own flying field.
I've got a hydramax 4 cell 4.8v 2000mah NIMH pack on the ignition of my Su-26/DLE-30 and it works great for me.

I'm right with you Kerwin! Oh to be retired and live on an R/C flying field!
