I have added a portion of the route I plan to take on my way to the east coast... looks like I will pass close to mschulz531 (Mike).

You will be coming close (relatively) to me. I would love to have you visit our field and fly with me (and our club). Call me on my cell phone (I'll send via PM) if you would like to visit. From your route, you could take Rt 173 from just north of Rockford over to Route 12 in Richmond, then south on Rt 12 to Route 31, then east on Ringwood road and then north on Pioneer road to the flying site. I assume you are going through Champaign because you are planning to stop in the R/C Hobby capital of the world? <g>

went and flew for the last time in Vegas this am...
dead calm air

tried out my new homemade on-board glow ign... worked great...

got the Saito 150 to idle at 1800-1900 consistantly... turn off glow and it quits... now the u can do will land and not float forever... still nose heavy, gonna have to put in the rear hatch to get the battery to the rear...

now to pack most of it up for the trip TT 40 stays out so I can fly it on the road

You are passing through my town on your way up I-15. Do you want to try a twist ralley take 2? When are you leaving vegas?

I got 2 flights on my 3dhs edge on my way to work today... kinda snuck them in. That's the really nice thing about electric planes that are small enough to fit fully assembled into your car. It's also nice to not worry about glow exhaust getting on my slacks I love my glow planes but electric has some nice perks.

I am pushed for time getting to Montana for Doctor appointments on Monday and Vets on Tuesday

ah... well it was worth a shot Too bad the whole entire SOUTH had to flood the first time and spoil it... How did that turn out for you anyway? I think I missed the final recap or something.
