Cool on the muffler Wayne have fun

Yes wind flying is all about the engine and the rudder for take offs and landings, that rudder is your best friend in the wind.

Ok, just 1 more thing about flying in the wind. You haven't lived until you've landed a high wing trainer at 3/4 throttle, just to keep a little bit of ground speed.

And I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day. And always remember the reason we are able to celebrate it. Not everyone is willing to give everything for someone else's freedom. This Nation has been blessed with many.

Haveing a cg machine on the twist 60 with a saito 125 makes high winds a blast.

I hope everyone had a good holiday weekend. I also hope there was lots of flying going on! Me, I was busy around the house the whole time and didn't get a chance to make it out to the field for any flying.

LOL I know Wayne, (wind) I was talking the same thing, but seeing I just said wind.
Yes landing a Sr Kadet with a OS 40 at full throttle as she settles down like a Hairrer with a bit of backward motion is a thrill you all have to try.

Hey Buckskin

Hey Buckskin
I was thinking a Saito .82 on the kadet.

Hehehe...Mike, I actually flew my Hangar 9 PTS P51 yesterday in that wind (no training crap on it)....it was interesting but I survived The only reason I keep that plane is for days like yesterday, lol. The Twist would be a handful to get down in that wind!

On a side note, I have about 75% of the T___T 60 built and it is doing fine. Couple issues though: Had to replace a clevis on one of the control rods, they gave me the wrong nuts for the tail feathers (in fact one wouldn't even fit!) and I am missing the throttle pushrod tube. Looks like the ASP 91 will be a good fit.....you wouldn"t have a pic of your throttle set up would you?

I like that that motor goes in awithout any mods on the cheeks and it looks like the throttle pushrod can go right over the tank

Bummer that you are missing parts! Yes, the T__T 60 would have been a handful; I suppose I could have tied it to some strong line and flown it like a kite!

I do have pics of the throttle installation; taken just for you! They are attached; let me know if you need more detail.

Regards,
Mike

I'd love to see a video of that...are you going to launch it from your bungee launcher as well?
