I hope you have secured the firewall to the fuse with "a little something extra"!

A lot of people say to go low on nitro for ST engines. I ran my 2300 on 15% and had not issures.

If a 120 4 stk is perfect, that is about a .95AX 2 stk range.

[QUOTE=brathanke;18312326]my OS Supass 91 FS just arrived along with a castle creations BEC for my 40 size edge. I'm hoping the 4S tries to rip the wings right off of it. I'm tired of that plane being underpowered. The only downside is the four stroke is pretty heavy feeling... I'll have to see how it compares to the ST 61 weight wise.

You would have to work hard to prove that to me. Unless you are running a wimpy NiMh 6V pack, you should be just as fast and powerful as a lipo on a regulator.

Wayne you just have to take it in context. volts are volts so that point is understood. I have been running a 4.8v nicad pack so switching to a lipo at 6v will be a nice upgrade... not to mention losing an oz or two in the process. I went the lipo route since I have 3 or 4 800 mah lipo packs kicking around that need something to do

use caution... may only get 2-3 flights with 800mAh

with my digital servos in the u can do I use about 250 - 300mA per flight

I hear ya Daniel. On the twist I have found that I can fly those standard servos for probly 2-3 hours nonstop on one 800 mah battery. The edge doesn't have digitals either but they are high torque power hd 1501 mg's so I expect them to eat more power. I'll do a couple of timed flights and then see how many mah I put back into the packs to see what kind of time I can expect to get.

Dang... wish I could get that kind of time from my twist... I run 6v 800mAh using JR 537 hi speed servos and am lucky to get 4 flights before top off...

maybe your too easy on it

I am probly exaggerating on the time by about double lol but the point is I can fly for a long time. Last time I flew for 30 min + and only used about 125 mah. I am probly too easy on it though like you said because the plane is still new to me and I'm fairly cautious.

Scary again Nate. I have seen MANY planes go down runnin 600mA to 800mA receiver packs. Nearly all my Glow planes have 2000mAh packs. I won't fly a small pack any more. I also throw away those 600mAh transmitter packs too. I personally lost a plane to one of those.

The electrical is the most important system on board. I will splurge and give up some weight on for capacity on those glow planes.

The only thing I run on small packs are lights, igniters, and small foamies.

well guy's I got a chance to go fly tonight. about 6 of us got together.
It started out a great night I got up in the air about 6:30 and started off with the twist followed by the MX. Now I had gotten 3 flights out of her and the sun was getting low but I knew I had time for another flight. All was going well till I started snapping her and coming out of the snap I got dis orientated an all I could due was chop the throttle.
Well she landed in the top of a tree.
It looked in great shape, so a nother flying buddy went to borrow a boom truck.
I managed to climb up the tree 16 ft or so an looked at the plane.
I decided to tear down the twist an start packing while waiting on the truck.
SO when I went to unfuel I refueled it instead flooding the muffler and crank case.
I turned the plane upside down and all kinds of fuel came out of the muffler and carb.
I flip it back over reveseved flipped it a couple of times to help clear it.
I put the ING on grabbed the muffler with my left hand and with my right I pushed the started on the nose cone. The engine kicked real hard knocking my hand off the muffler an OUCH the prop got my thumb.
I bled like a stuck hog
I left all my stuff there and ask the guys toload my stuff up for me.
I got 7 stiches an it hurts.
I did get out of the ER till after 11 so I don't know the status of anything.

Damn Kerwin, I hope your plane is okay! And too bad about the thumb too, do you think it will prevent you from flying for very long?

Here is the maiden night flight of my "Night Star".

This was my only successful night flight, so far.

Multiplex Easy Star, Dubbed "Night Star" (6 min 47 sec)
