I think triple rates is what you pay for stuff at Horizon...

My buddy Tyler came over tonight and just barely left. He brought over his trainer fuse to show me and pick up some little supplies for fixing it. I couldn't believe my eyes. Don't get me wrong... its till ugly but MAN that had to have taken forever to piece back together. It was like a 1000 piece puzzle. I gave him some ideas for making it strong and solid again but its still got a long ways to go. Crazy that he tried to fix it lol.

He was going to toss it but was inspired by another guy that flies with us fixing a plane that was in similar condition. It was like a cloud of balsa debris all over the grass an dhe meticulously picked up every piece he could find and spent hours and hours gluing them back together. So Tyler decided he could fix his too. Man its worth the $60 for a new Avistar fuse... The wing is in almost pristine condition.

Sounds like a Que for Bob and Waldo.

Time to Jazz the smileys up again.

I don't know why I set them up with triples, cause I always fly on the 'all you can get' rate. I guess that makes me a third rate flyer. Ba Dap Dum!!

I have 2 rates
one set at 150 for me <---ego
and the other at 50% for everyone else...

Brathanke I love those kinds of stories, It rejuvenates all my hopes for this hobby and still being able to find a Full build Kit also as they can be found but Hobby shops are getting less and less choices for Full build kits. some shops don't even carry any I always say and you call yourself a hobby shop tsk tsk LOL They don't like that too much.

One of my friends said to Hobby shop guy do you have this , he replied No but I can get it on line for you, he said well I can get it on line, the hooby guy said oh your putting the hobby shops out of business when you do that,
My friend replied well if you had what I wanted I wouldn't need to go on line to get it. which was why I drove all the way over here. we always tell them were trying to keep the hobby shops in business but they make it so hard by not having anything you need anymore, Its getting worse and worse. I mean We know its tough to have everything in stock but I say either be in or out. No offense to any hobby shop owners in anyway this is a very tough economy right now, But when I drive 40 minutes to get a prop or gas and they don't have anything at all to use, It really urchs my legos LOL I mean at least the minimum essentials should be on hand. I can't afford to drive to any of our NY hobby shops anymore they are all 30 -45 minutes away and the last 4 trips I made to all 3 of them Didn't have 1 single thing I needed. I'm taslking balsa wood, nose spinners and props here and forget fuel. now I drive 40 - 50 minutes away into Mass because that guy has everything for anything. so its worth the trip.

My my I just had a ramble fit Sorry LOL,,,, don't get me going LOL

Shane, sorry to hear that. It was just last year I lost my FIL and it is still difficult sometimes. You and your family will definitely be in my prayers.

hahahaha I always say "this would be a great place to put a hobby shop" when they don't have something common. They don't like that either.

Alot of times I'll call hobbytowne and see if they have it, if not then have them order it.
It sure beats paying shipping if I'm only needing a few nsmall things

Prime example

4 hobby shops in Vegas
I need a large 1.20-1.80 size engine mount... no one has it
1 said he could order it on his order next week... means 2 weeks before I get it...
I'll order from Tower and get it before he makes his order
