Windows 7. I installed Windows 7, 64bit on my notebook computer. It replaced Vista which I hated (I think it was really created by Apple). Anyway, so far, it seems much better. I don't recommend you go from a 32bit system to a 64bit unless you have a real good reason.

What's wrong with 64 bit? Everything pretty much works any more. Even Castle Link and Tekin HotWire work in 64bit now.

Computer nerds......don't ya just love 'em........they're everywhere.........including here! My fourth child is in his Junior year at MTU studying computers......and he is constantly upgrading......new CPU here......liquid cooling there......and why? Not because he needs the extra speed to solve any of the questions that have plagued mankind for millenia, but because the newest game needs this gidgit or that doodad to run right! I guess solving the world's problems comes later?

The snowplow just buried the end of my drive way.......after I just spent a half hour blowing it clean! What a dinosaur pecker!

Been feeding my family <and hobby> for the last 10 years with this geeky life style, not much into those games, they are evil and always need to hareware to support them. I could run the space shuttle with the newest one but to play some new game it would take a grand in upgrades.

You not pay the "don't burry my drive fees" to the local "dinosaur pecker"?

Nothing wrong with 64bit. If you already have a 32bit system, you have to do a clean install to put a 64 bit OS on. This is more "techy" stuff than most people want to bother wiith. If you have 4GB or RAM or want to go there, then 64 bit is where you want to be.

I had to reinstall most of my programs. Some won't run in the 64bit environment - even in compatability mode. I could run a virtual 32 bit machine but that is more trouble. I could do a dual boot deal but that is too much trouble.

If you are deciding on a new computer and you are going for big RAM, 64bit. If you already have a 32bit installation and don't want to go through a lot of update stuff and you can live with 4GB or less, then just upgrade into a new 32bit system.

If you are geeky type, myself included, then do whatever you have time for.

Way better than what? Hog Urine? I can't stand that stuff. The best part is the bag.

I prefer a Cabernet Sauvingon or Merlot. Not the stuff in a box! BV Costal and Fetzer are nice.

From your selections, I would not want to have you select beverages, for me anyway.

Hmm, that is not usually where I care to drink anyway. I never try to see how much I can drink. I prefer to savor the drinks I do have. I also like to not feel terrible later or not remember how much "fun" I supposedly had.

Thank you for the invitation. I don't have a car. Riding with the sales person. Not free time either. Most of my business trips have very little entertainment time. I don't think any of my planes would make it through baggage on the plane.

LOL I'm a nerd, and CATIA won't run in 32-bit Vista/Win7. You have to use a 64-bit version.

Aside from that, everything I have actually runs pretty well, and my second set of 4GB of memory is on the way as we speak.
