After my extensive research on 2.4 stuff after my issue with the MX2, I wouldn't use any 3rd party stuff in my big equipment. They don't have nearly the lockout/interference resistance that DSM or other FHSS technologies have.

Plowboy, it was the Twist.

Almost fixed now though. The gear block is back in. I can't believe there's no front support for it though. It seems to just be the sides and the front wing seat. I'm thinking about putting a block of basswood in there just to help a bit. It can't hurt.

I also noticed yesterday, it was about 93 degrees. Even with a good tune, my little OS 70 barely had enough to pull out of a hover. In the cooler weather, it makes MUCH more power.

It has clear wing covering for covert missions hehehe

with a tilt that will look down.

OS 70 Ultimate, with the 13x4W was pretty good.

Am I going to be OK on prop clearance with the stock gear or should I order another set from graph tech?

My new prop won't be here 'till wednesday, which means if the stock gear is too short, I can't fly this weekend. But I don't want to spend $$ on new gear if I dont need to yet.

Man what a day! It was a scorcher out there. 97 degrees with 5 mph winds. I took 7 planes to the field and flew them all. I think I might have fried a LiPo pack but other than that, I've got nothing to repair.

Saw some turbine powered jets. A Graupner Hotspot actually flew but needed a lot more runway than what was available to land. This one was there but it was overheating so it did not fly.

Sorry to hear it Eric. You should have plenty of clearance with a 13" prop on stock gear.

Thanks Plow. I was thinking it should but wasn't 100%.

However, I couldn't find my gear and realized I gave it to a friend of mine.

So, I CA'd the CF gear. It just delaminated a bit so I shoved a bunch of thin CA in there.

We'll see how that works.

I have stock gear on my 40. Saito 82 and a 14x4W. No problem.
