LOL I think we knew deep down inside I have to admit Leccys have become 1000% better since when they were first introduced to the hobby, its actually pretty impressive. I still love the fuelers though. Just built into my heart I guess

Nothing wrong with that leccys are just really nice for having a really capable plane that you can pull out and fly in a 10 minute time-frame.

Well I just found out I didn't get the job. Its kind of a relief because I was worried about the work load but its still a dissappointment. I'm sure it is all going to work out for the best. They said they want to stay in touch with me as I get closer to graduation.

Well another no show at all at the open house lol although the 13+ inches of snow the day before didn't help any I'm sure. just another weekend shot to hell preparing for it. we'll drop the price again and see what happens we must get the hell out of there this year.
That would make for a strange re make or Children of the Corn!
Sux about the no show... I am the worst for selling something, frustration leads me to just give stuff away then put up with the perils of being a salesperson.

Yesterday, by chance I happened to look out the window just as my neighbor's truck disappeared down the street! I quickly threw on my parka, chook, and boots grabbed my choppers and headed for the garage. (Choppers are leather mittens lined with a pair of knitted mittens inside). A quick prime and pull of the cord and the 13 hp machine fired to life. I was on a mission and the front yard and drive could wait.....the neighbor was gone and the winds were blowing in the right direction......the only thing that would have made the situation better was if the planets were in alignment! I dropped her into high gear and force-fed the front of the machine yard after yard of snow as we made our way to wind tunnel, which was the space between our two homes. Upon my arrival I aimed my chute straight up in the air and smiled to myself as the as the prevailing winds dumped the heavy snow just on the other side of the property line! A CSI agent couldn't distinguish this snow from that of naturally fallen snow and any malicious intent could easily be denied. I made quick work of the back yard and as I cut the last path closest to the house.....I heard this high-pitched whining of metal on metal as I passed the gas meter....so loud in fact that it was clearly heard over the steady drone of my well-tuned, snow-blowing machine, which stood idling in the numb grip of my now feelingless hands. I took a step closer, as my eyelashes had frozen together somewhat and I was squinting like an Eskimo looking for a polar bear on the far horizon! Sure enough....the gas meter, in it's relentless task of trying to keep an accurate accounting of the colossal volume of natural gas needed to heat this shack, was about to give up the ghost.......that one meter, more than any other in Calumet, had given it's all and I was lucky enough to witness to it. I aimed my chute at the wicked device and buried it under a healthy layer of the ugly white stuff....my excuse being that it needed to cool off.....maybe they wouldn't find it until Spring, I thought to myself as I continued on my merry way......I finished up the first session of snow blowing for the day and went inside to thaw. Alas the joy I had felt in my soul earlier that day diminished with each footprint I tracked from the street to the location of the expired gas meter. How do they do it? Does the meter send out an S.O.S. over the airwaves as it's last act of being? Sure enough.... the frigid grave was excavated and where once the old meter hung there hung a shiny new one........the hands on it's many dials spinning wickedly around and around. It started to snow harder and as I made my way back to the snowblower I noticed that I had trudged through more snow now than I had this morning. I quickly glanced towards my neighbor's kitchen window where I saw him lift his steaming mug and smile.......the winds had changed once more and the day's burden had shifted to my side of the property line!

Sorry, my snowblower is 305 cc........try again.
Just use two motors Snow.

Sorry about the job Nate.

I can agree with that for sure however I can be set up and flying in less then 10 minutes also so that wouldn't be my converting over reason lol

I'll bet you have a fantastic voice, Hell if I can go public and sing through a Microphone there is no reason in the world anyone else can't. Whats funny is I finally got my bro singing some full songs not just back up harmonies, and he said he didn't like the sound of his voice doing the main lead, I said I think its just because its your voice because I thought he sounded awesome and I can't stand listening to my voice either. lol

Totally agree here... completely their loss, sorry to hear that Nate, But maybe there is a much bigger reason for that.

Yes I'd rather give it away then sell also, lol I want to bring the house down to $150K just to be done with this crap and move on in life, 5 years is way to long to be living in limbo.
Don't be electrocutin yourself lol

Completely disagree here, I have flown nothing but fuel my whole life, and where did you take those planes when the big fields were packed with sports folk, playing football, baseball, soccer, whatever..... I'll tell you where you took them...... anywhere and everywhere Now I didn't say the ending result was always good But one thing for certain you were always guarenteed at least 1 flight.

Many times I took off on a regular neighborhood street because all our regular fields were being used. I could probably fill a whole thread with all the stories lol I'd have to say one of my favorite flights was a dirt road with no houses but trees on both sides even with the branches hanging over head except one spot where there was a clear opening to fly up and above the trees and thats where you would stand to view your plane flying in circles above the trees however the landing was a kill the engine and dive back through the opening and try and bleed off speed before you were back into the woods again which was maybe 50 yards. I was successful many times on this spot but I also had to reapir my wings quite a few times too dang branches LOL all I can say is sometimes I was just desperate to fly and nothing would prevent me from getting in the sky those days.

O K49 what have you done to my poor picture now. You took my halo away and put me in a clergy outfit.
Now I've already told you I'm no angel. So now I've gotta let you know I'm no saint either. And you sure as heck don't want me in the pulpit. That is unless you want me to preach on the finer things of the twist while having snowy pass the collection plate.

Waldo I was talking about getting out of my car, tossing a plane in the air for a flight, loading back up, and driving away. All within 10 min

I did say the ending result wasn't always good

The world is moving into the leccy field (or should I say HAS moved) at a rapid pace and it is truly an awesome thing I will hold onto my prehistoric values and the love of fuel planes until It just can't be purchased any longer which hopefully won't happen in my lifetime.

Oh Started the fuse part of the bee wing is ready for wrapping.

Omg! Kerwin50, you should never use the words "beaver" and "jail" in the same sentence!

PS> Would you please bless my planes next week at the field?
