I'm really excited to get a build going now, as soon as I get to the LHS I'll be picking up some medium zap and the construction will begin, I think I just added a 4 star 60 to the list of 4 builds for this winter lol we might be doing those as the formatin team fly next season.

They will all at some point end up in pieces but I am all about prolonging it where I can.

With it being slight tail heavy, 7-10 mph wind down the runway, on landing it wanted to do the "Twist Ballon" and keep flying on him. I have broken a Twist in half with those combined forces.... Not going to do it with the 87...

Waiting for the maiden flight. It is hard to get Jim the owner, to smile. He does not want the wheel pants mounted.

We have not been successful getting the buddy box to handle a two aileron setup on the JR 9303 radio. I may have to reconfigure this plane to use a Y connector, as much as I hate to do that.

It was nice that he offered, I have been waiting for much better weather, but these winds and such coming in have not let up since I finished the plane.

I do quite a few maidens. I think it is scarier to maiden a plane for someone than for my own. I know how mine are build and I know the balance is done correctly. When someone brings one for me, I try to go over as much as I can to avoid scary, crazy maiden flights.

Anyway, I like doing my own maiden flights. It would be nice to have an expert to give some feedback though.

My YAK was a wing rocker at HA. I got a lot of it out though by going back and rechecking everything and tweaking the CG a little. This was after I received some input from a pilot at another club.

The plan is to start my 55cc Extra in a day or so. I am hoping for an easy, uneventful build.

We have a 50cc reactor in the club that had really bad HA wing rock, it was very nose heavy and required a lot of weight to the tail, and that plane has a long tail. After he sorted out the CG it became much better behaved in the High Alpha.

I maiden all of mine and some for other people, as long as the plane is within my comfort. Mine was a bit twitchy as it turned out between control surfaces and the aft CG... Could I have done it... yes... would I need CPR after, prolly

I forgot to mention on the Mr. Mulligan, the motor came up to 825W static, 55A, and 10K RPMs on 12x8e prop. I think it is going to be a great flier.

Ugh, cant get this dang 450 to behave. She seems to be mad at me for flying her into a brick wall. Replaced most of the components from the motor to the blades and I still have a mystery wobble. I think after I fix her she is going to get a scale fuse and no more 3D attempts.
