I also did a crepe streamer drop. I like those. I tie a small e-prop on one end of a roll of crepe paper. It twists the streamer as it comes down. We have plenty of broken props on the wall.

I think the parachute vid might be better if it was not straight down. Maybe a 30 degree angle? I just taped it on the back of the man with some blenderm tape.

The first drop missed the runway. The ground level winds had some North to South component but when I dropped the chutes, they went nearly due East.

The second drop, both chutes landed on the runway.

I can't drop really high, I might never find it again.

I am not really good at judging the drift and descent rate. When I did jumps, the jump master tossed out a roll of toilet paper to check the drift. Maybe I need to put a streamer on the tow plane release. I could drop it first.

I don't know I kind of liked it straight down But I agree, Maybe I should try a drop with an angle also, a streamer drop before the chute drop might help a little at least it should get you in the ball park anyway or maybe a chute about the same size and weight would be more ideal unless the winds change a tad in-between drops lol

Back at work today for the 1st time in a month man that month flew by

well, I had a nice time at the field yesterday...52 degrees, sunny, winds around 5...great afternoon for flying. One other guy from the club was there...he brought his old twinstar, and I helped him get it started...he loves to fly that thing low and fast, and I love to hear the sound of a twin engine plane whizzing by my head

Go to fly my 65 Vyper and my 58" Edge...the Edge was exciting because I flew on what a thought was a fully charged pack but it turned out to be fully discharged, so very quickly the power dropped off, but I didn't really get what was happening until I was doing a harrier going around the field and the power dropped off so my harrier became a forced harrier landing because there was not enough power to pull out! It all ended up ok and it was actually a very nice harrier landing - no damage...checked the pack and it was 3.2v per cell! Charged it back up at the field and flew again and it flew much better Got lucky there!

All in all a good day to fly...never know when we're going to have another good day this time of year.

If I wasn't working, and it was a nice day, I'd sure be working on a plane or flying a plane...just saying, Kerwin!

I love the parachute drop Wayne, I too drop parachutes, you really cant figure out where there are going to land . I drop 3 or 4 at a time and some come down straight others fly away even though they are the same weight and size.
We did have a good day of flying yesterday, Kerwin50 did bring out his Green Machine but nobody recognized the plane because it was covered in dust.-----------------I think we should refer to it as the Grey Machine!
