That snake aint biting any more. Sorry to see that.

I dont know about the manuals Wayne. Its like our Club bylaws, for years they would not allow them to be posted on line <clueless why> and every time a agruement would start, 5 people would pull out 7 different printed versions, and noone had the current one. Look at Aeroworks having to stick the extra sheets in for corrections. I am ok with opening the current PDF online and not printing it out. Besides....on the 23 inch flat screen I can zoom and not have to put on my glasses.

[i got 1400 kv motor , not da engine

Plan on permanently glueing on wings and horizontal stab

Using stock folder and motor mount, himax in runner

Don't think stock spinner could handle 4 cells so going with 3 cell

Rudder looks tad bigger, but with ailerons should turn well

QUOTE=waynemia;22852672]David -> my easy star came at about 5:30pm. You are right, they have started doing the injections from the bottom only. I think the rudder is the same as the old ones. I will probably enlarge it. I always cover them in chrome, kinda my signature.

I will study the assembly tonight. I thought it came with a motor like the old ones but not so. I will have to check on a motor for it. I may have one already.[/QUOTE]

Did you sleep in he cab the first couple of nights? Soak up all that new truck smell. I usually sit in a new car for several ours going through the manual.

I may get a metal mount and some CF blades. The blades on my Cularis were not that good. HK had some great CF replacements.

I am looking for an outrunner with about 250 to 300 watts and 4S capable. I still want it to have some awesome speed like the old ones. I can manage the throttle. If the props fall off, well, it IS a glider. I am also thinking that I may try a fixed prop also.

I am still considering the aluminum mount.

I like lots of rudder authority. I try not to use ailerons when gliding. I think it is best to keep all the lift under the wings so the rudder works better. The big chrome rudder also helps see the thing. The sun flashes off it occasionally.

I am surprised the wing is white. The grey ones were supposed to be a stronger foam. I hope they have not made them weaker. I will add some fiber tape just in case.

I will pre-fit everything before deciding about modifying the wing mounts or tail. I built about 15 EZ* I models. This one has a lot of differences so I will be cautious.

There is a logical reason: I lost faith in prophylactics when my Trojan stock took a nose dive and never recovered in the 80's....I've never invested in them since!

Plow, I keep telling myself stuff like that..."you're blessed to have seven children", "you'll always be around someone that you love and loves you", "you'll be able to save for your retirement once they're gone", " just 10 more years till they're gone" "just 9 more years until they're gone", "you'll recover from the physical drain of parenting once they're on their own", "maybe you'll stop worrying so much about them when they're married" " the last five years of your working life will be enough to sock away a small retirement", but in the end it always comes down to the truth of the matter......."Buddy......you are fd! Plan on working until you die you stupid SOB!" JUST KIDDING! *or am I?*
