Well guys, I finally got an airplane in the air. I've managed to fly 4 days in a row, nothing special about the flights except the airplane survived all of them... lol I consider that an accomplishment only because it's been about 2 years since my last flight, and the winds were ranging from 10 to 25 mph. Just did some touch and goes and circle flying, but had a blast doing it.

Oh yeah, I finally joined a club too. So now I have access to a very nice field about 15 miles from the house, that means maybe more flying for me in the future.

Whoa... That has been a while. Looks like those escapades are in the past.

Good ideas. I have the stuff to add tank pressure without a muffler.

Thanks for the info Bob.

Joe, try an external tank. Setup a small tank complete and hook it up in place of the one in the plane. You can try different tank positions and stuff and see if that makes a difference. At least you should be able to diagnose a problem with the tank and plumbing on the plane.

Waldo, run the .91 on a test stand and see what happens. You should be able to determine if it's a fuel issue like that. Maybe the tank is too low? Perhaps it is getting a lot of vibration and foaming? Is the tank in there really tight? Maybe you could use a smaller tank and more cushioning.

yea, he said the 61 was ok and now not so the external tank thing makes it easy to test on the plane.

Waldo, put the test tank in a bucket of water and lead test it first.

As for foaming, I have a piece of clear tubing with a piece of aluminum tubing in one end. I am using this to see if there are bubbles since the blue silicone stuff can hide it.

I told my wife not to bring Green Turtle Guy to the FLI event, she would not listen. Since my Club safety officer was having surgery, I felt there should be some presence of safety and set him out at the flight line.... Notice the dirt and crinkled plastic on the legs? During one of the rain showers that passed through, he was kidnapped and taken across the field. It appears they were talking to the safety officer <green guy> about the dangers of Lipo explositions....... He had great hang time.
