Got out here to CA, and picked up a hitchhiker heading for TX.

Apparently I can't upload pics from my phone , so the wife will post it soon.

I hope I have done this right....Please let him know if it isn't here...
Thank you

Cheap protection I think.

Guys theres no place like home. I got in well after dark. I just had to stop at our flying field before going home and O did I have a blast there as well.
Reason being is I've been Trix a fied.
You see when I arrived at the FLI it was midnight so Fred had me set up camp on this level spot. Right next door to AuroraRC
Now AuroraRC is the priemer night flying lights company, that is only a year old. They provide a large perdcent of Joe Nall's night time flying eventy. It's a family owned company that sponsors thier daughter Trixie flying.
Trixie has this personality, well you can see from the video. Anyways she was having some time to kill while waiting on her big slick I asked her if she like to fly my airplane for me.
Now I'd seen her fly her 104 slick she calls Waffles so I had no doubt this little girl could fly.
Now from the moment she took the green machine she trix a fied me.
By the time the event was over she had flown all my planes. now beleive it or not this 3D girl loved my little pico tigermoth the best as she just putted about waist high at walking speed.
Now I've been told about what junk servo's I have in my lil edge BUT at this event Lil trix showed them all what it's all about the little edge.
I didn't fly a whole lot while I was down there being all the pain I was in from the twist crash. All that hiking was a killer. But on the way home the boys wanted to get together so well all met down at the soccer field. And my little student Thomas showed up. So we flew till dark.
I've got so much to share but I'll have to post it later.

I briefly met the Aurora folks at the Weak Signals show in Toledo, I had stopped by their booth. At that time, I had no idea she was a pilot. There is another team member that wasn't at Cape from what I seen, but was at Nall, that is RCGirl on RCG. She is 13 and a very good flyer as well.

My first large event <Ohio HuckFest> I never even took a plane with me. There was 4 of us there and we didnt fly once that weekend. We enjoyed ourselve just as much just taken in all the excitement and festivities.

Glad you had a good time Kerwin.

O guys, guys, guys. You wouldn't believe what a difference sleeping in a bed. I thought I'd done died and gone to heaven last night, sleeping in my own bed. And whats more is I can walk. I'm actually enjoying myself just sitting on a couch and reminiscing.
I'm thinking about when I was walking down the flight line I seen this really nice 74 inch Edge with an OS 33GT.
Now the guy took her out and 3d'er some anfter 10 minutes or so he landed her.. So as I passed trixie. She was shooting photos. She said yeah man I'm going to fly that plane. I teasingly ask her if if she did could do a tail touch for me. she goes O yeah man then I'll waterfall it for you.I didn't know I was helping setting up this poor guy with such a pretty edge .
His plane was about to be abused. I had no clue that this poor guy was going to say yes.
I was just teasing with the girl and the next thing I know she's going over to him.
Now I just stayed back in the shadows. And to my suprize she's got his tx in her hands.
I'm saying O no do I need to say a prayer for this plane.
She takes it off in a rolling Harrier and is not cutting this plane any slack. Then she did it. Yes she brought that plane down in a gentle tail slide. I'm hanging on tight to the fence ral as I know what shes about to do. The Edge ever so gently and slowly touch it's tail. THEN she did a 280 degree flip an started flying a hairrer nearly dragging it's tail wheel. The crowd went nuts and I just grinned as she brought her in

whew....what a weekend...more info and stuff posted on the FLI thread...but a few thoughts here:
definitely nice to sleep in a real bed again; I slept in the back of my van, which was ok (better than sleeping on the ground)...but not as nice as a bed.
Trixie and Alex and Roger from Aurora RC are some really cool people; Alex and Trixie can both fly *really* well. Trixie and Wamsy had to fly twice in the night-flying contest because of a tie, and Trixie won the tie breaker; only Joe Smith was better (first place).
Got to see Trixie take all of Kerwin's planes to a new level of awesomeness, got to hear an 89 fly into a tree ("thwack"), got to see BoneDoc's 89 go lights out at night and auger in to the ground; saw Dustin's 70 Slick (RB scheme) get crunched in a too-low rolling harrier (wind gust)..broke it's back pretty bad. Got to meet a ton of really cool people and had an incredibly good time. Hope to post some pics and videos tonight when I have some time. For now, it's back to work.
Oh yeah, I scored a Scorpion motor from BoneDoc for my 65" Vyper...he says this is the perfect motor for this plane (he had it on his Vyper some time ago); got it for a great price.
There were lots of wheeling and dealing going on there...the FLI's are a great place to get a great price on deals if you are in the market.
Cheers,
Mike

Yeah BTW guys Snowdog is one hell of a cook. The very last day I had some eggs bacon and hash browns. So I asked Mike if he minded cooking breakfest for us. Boy did he cook up a meal. It really hit the spot for my long journey home.

Good flying last evening, perfect weather good friends. Something strange did happen, what do you guys think: After the flying was over we were all cleaning our planes. I noticed that Kerwin 50 was cleaning the Green Machine but he kept skipping one area on his plane. I told Kerwin50 that he was missing a spot on his plane, he said, No, NO! thats where Trixie touched it, I'll never clean that spot again."! I'm not for sure what happened at the Cape but Kerwin50 has more energy than I've ever seen and he is combing his hair differently.

I was trying to get Trixie to autograph it for it but I guess I failed.
