Did you fly it or just test on the ground? You will have higher current draw while flying than you will on the bench.

1st place in the novice doberman heart of america dog show. Of course I was the only one in the novice class LOL. All the other doberman owners were in the open class.
I may have broke my left big toe though.
I was praticing with him with out shoes on this morning with out shoes on. As I was running my left foot dropped causing my left toe to take the impact and cutting it as well. O my club feet.

Weird Day at the field
I got there at 11 am... Karl's plank had already had a miss hap and was repaired.

Jim's Funtana Plank had a thumb related issue in the knife edge.. Total pile

Henry's 30cc Decathalon on landing hit hard enough to POP the gear off and bounce the plane upwards. Safe dead stick no gear landing

Doug's 550 Heli was wasted, lost it in the sun.

Wild Bills 38CC Zenoha had a loose muffler, turned out motor was loose too.

I gave Karl a 12.25 X3.75 to put in place of the 12X8 on the plank, He loved it! At the end of the day, while hovering it at the flight line, a big gust came up, it torque rolled through the pits, around a car, did a wheel landing on the hanger doors, went across the doors until the prop was a 4.5 X 1.75 and dropped to the cement.

I put my plank back in the car and went home!

There was a feel of bad mojo at the field, like the Gamber, you gotta know when to fold um.

I just got back from the emergency room , yep my big toe is broken. Funny it was the same doc thar stitched my thumb up last spring from the twist's prop.
My wife has now issued a decree. I can now put my feet on the coffee table. Now this is only a 7 day decree.
This couldn't of happened at a better time windy and/or rainy all week.
Momma says I'm in Hos a bull ( a 5 year old's term for hospital)

I will just copy the flight report I sent to the club.:

Kevin Copely, Frank, and I made it out to fly this morning. I flew my Cularis and Zijji delta wing, Kevin flew an EZ Star, and Frank flew his delta wing.

Wind gusts were over 30mph. We were seeing some steady 20mh winds. Flying was fun. Frank and I did the delta wing dance (friendly full contact combat) in the air but not many near misses today.

The Cularis has a new set of CF prop blades. They worked really well.

I have a new gadget that has a GPS in it and it measures max ground speed, average ground speed, altitude, flight time, and distance flown. I put it in my Zijji for a first test. I made a 5 min flight. The average speed was 22mph but he max was 129mph!! Yes it was down wind and yes I did dive first, but this is actual ground speed, not air speed. It is like doing a radar for the entire flight. It also had a maximum altitude of over 1800 ft. Subtracting the field elevation leaves about 1,000 feet. It also said I flew 1.8 mi. This is pretty cool since there is no plane modifications or radio programming to use it. Just plug it into a 5V to 12V power source and stuff it into the plane.

Nothing we flew had wheels so the field condition was great.

Got to fly this morning (before church) (:>) Maidened the 58" Edge even though winds were 15+! Flew the 51 Slick first and that did fine in the wind. The Edge flew great; no trim needed at all. Can't wait to get more time on it! Feels pretty good! No video...need to work on a hat can.

Wayne that gps thing sounds cool. where can we get one?
