That figures, I finally get caught up and everyone quits posting.

I hope that means everyone is getting to fly, the flight reports have been great , crash reports not so great .

Been good to see some of the ole MIA posting (Snowman,PB, and a few others that I can't remember the names at the moment ), and also great to see the new victims of the madness.

A gasser on a T---t40 , that definitely qualifies as madness... lol Has got to be a blast to fly

I'm here buck, it's been cloudly and alittle rainy today with a few spotty showers.
I would of went flying but the only plane I have up and flying is the MX and I won't risk hauling her in the back of my little mazada pick-up with the chance of showers.
I'm now trying to save for another airplane car. I want an escort LX. That is the station wagon escort.

I need a prop for my TM 400 and some 30 minute epoxy to fuel proof the twist. I'll be headed for kansas city wed so I'll be able to stop in the hobby shop and get my much needed supplies.

I'm not crying too bad about flying today as the flu bug has been trying to bite me this weekend so I'm just going to lay around the house and read all my brothers adventures.

happy flying guys

I did not take a plane to the field today. I helped some beginning pilots. Test flew one plane and the buddy boxed with the owner. Helped check a Kadet L-40 it had problems with the push rods on the tail feathers. Did some partner flying on an Easy Star.

The Smartfly EQ6 came in. Very fast order. 27x10 cf prop, CF servo arms, Sulivan Smoke pump, a gallon of Supr Dri smoke oil, and the last servo is on order.

Thinking of using a pair of these 32 oz tanks. http://fortituderc.com/foutitude_site2_002.htm

CRFan, how did the tank work for you?

I was out flying yesterday and then we had a wedding to go to, so this is my first opportunity to catch up. Anybody who had weather like I had yesterday should not have been posting...they should have been out flying! Awesome weather...but like Tom said, the wind did make it a bit tricky. Flew my Vyper and my Su-26 yesterday and had fun with both. The Vyper still flies great...this week I'm going to put on the overside servo control horns; I think I need more elevator and rudder to have better control with 3D manuevers, other than that it is still a dream to fly. The carrier that I built Friday worked great and I will probably build something similar for any of my 3DHS planes.
On my first flight with the SU-26 I was in the air for about 4 minutes and the engine quit on me...I was shocked because this was the first dead stick I've had with this plane in over 16 flights. Fortunately I was up high so I brought down, pointed it into the wind and landed perfectly...even got applause from the rest of the guys at the field. Looked at the throttle servo connection, moved things around so I could better adjust the low idle, and took it up again. Flew much better this time, and landing was another good one. I tweaked my landing gear after last week's rough landing and I like how it is working now; I will upload photos later. All in all a good day, had some good flights, met some new guys that want to join the club, and really enjoyed being outside.
No flying today with the rain, and watching the Bears game is not helping my mood, which is why I'm reading this forum during the game.
Good to hear from everybody.
Regards,
Mike

A fellow club member (Brian) and his wife had seats at the crash site. They left about an hour before the crash.

What a great weekend... I want to Thank D, C, B, C, and M for one of the best weekend our family has had since moving to PA. We were sorry you had to leave out this morning, however it opened up space for an Official 2011SCRC Primo Lawn Dart. That sun in your eyes will get you everytime.

Some more pics and vids coming as soon as I recover.

Wayne, that tank works like a charm. I am using the 8 ounce tank with not a single issue.

Was a great day for sure Mike. . If you watch my sons video, you can tell the wind was pushing him around in his hovers. Above the tree line it was gusting 10 to 20. After the 5th flight on my slick I decided to not push my luck, lol. Glad you had a great day!

Great. I am planning one for fuel and the other for smoke oil. I should be able to put them in side by side.

Glad to hear DOG you had a good time and some of you got some flying in this weekend.
I woke up about 6 and the wind had calmed down though it was still cloudy. But I had the itch to fly so I grabed my little pico moth and drove out to the property.
I met up with another buddy that has a herr cub and we flew till dark. I mean once the plane got out 50 ft you couldn't see it.
This little GWS pico tigermoth is such a joy to fly, just to putt around the air in. she can fly at just alittle faster than walking speed.
I'm really thinking of putting some leds on her for night flying

BTW I've stolen momma's table again

Ah, my second plane! I loved mine too, just so small and graceful, right in my own yard. A gateway plane, that was at the beginning of a serious addiction to many, many much more expensive planes .

No flying for me over the weekend. My family and I were busy getting re-aquainted. School has me so busy that I can't justify taking time away from them to go flying on the weekend. So, if they all want to go we go. Otherwise I try and snag some g5.5 time... which I did last night. Actually it was really fun because my wife was flying with me and asking me to show her "tricks." I showed her inside and outside snap rolls, a couple ways to reverse directions with loops, and how to make tight banking turns. It was fun to watch her practice as up to this point she has only done great big circles.

I spent a little time while my wife went to the grocery store on Saturday evening to pull that cheap G-40 motor off my 51" A.J. Slick. I had to drill new holes for the larger "X" mount that motor took. I also had to move the blind nuts. I was unable to move them again because I did too good of a job gluing them in. I tried debonder and I'm sure I could have gotten them out with enough effort but I'm going to rotate the new X" Mount 45 deg and drill new holes. It will end up being easier that way and might save me a really screwed up firewall.

Geez, Ron, that is quite a lawn dart! Sorry to see that.
Are you going to hang the tail on the wall of your workshop or something?

Not my lawn dart, it was one of the guys from another local club. I am just glad no one <and Daniels rig> was hurt when that thing got away.
