Pearl color Monokote

I have been using the Pearl Yellow on my new Python, and while covering I noticed it really lets the woodwork show through.I just thought I would warn you guys if you were thinking about using it, the wood grain shows through and your work must be very high quality to look good. If any of you know of any "Quirks" of various colors or types of covering materials, please share them with us so we can aviod wasting money....

I don't use the pearls anymore. They don't patch well, CA takes the color away as does fuel (ugh!) if ti gets on the backside.

Pearl colors work best on a white background. You might want to spray a light coat of white to hide the grain a bit.

Andy, you mean paint the wood white first? Doesn't that negate the weight loss of using film?

Python is looking SWEEEEET by the way, wait till you see it !

Just use enough to make the grain less pronounced. Doesn't take much.

I used Pearl on my X250 (see gallery in www link, below). I figured the opaque pearl would cover well where I overlapped the red. Wrong!
Still, from a distance, it looks nice, and I like working with Monokote..
