OMG that's cool! Wonder what the control range is. I can just see these going off of hi rise balconies to spy on the neighbours, getting blown out of reach and dropping to the street.

Now THAT is pretty cool, but not cool enough to entice me to buy an iphone. LOL

got excited myself when i first saw this. but and a BIG BUT!!! it seems its gonna be silly money 500 plus, very short range due to wifi control and who wants to have a 500 flying machine go out of range and dive for the ground!!! maybe this could be the way to go in the future, too new and too expensive

Yes the wifi range is limiting in that sense. However you could fly this remotely. i.e. from work you could fly the quad at home and check up on your children. Still too expensive as I can get stationary wifi camera a lot cheaper.

The craniums that thought this up no doubt also have a way for it to work with a traditional R/C Tx/Rx. The firmware is said to be open source, so ingenious coders can get it to work with other control devices and OS's. Personally, I would have to do motor and frame mod first off to get rid of the gears. Nice toy though...
Cheers,
Jim
