For flight/sitting on the water CofG the white/gold looks best.....

But If you look at my 1st ever S107 in the water them round floats may not have enough buoyancy, you may get the PCB dipped, I made sure I had a good few mm between undercarriage and water.

Yes, lol....and hopefully they'll float which I still have yet to try.
The COG worked out well like the white one pictured. The Red one was pulling backwards a bit.

I don't have any doubts that they'll float. I just wonder if the S107G has enough power to lift off, escaping the pull from water surface tension.

GB, would you like to share a video with us on how these work out for you?

It all depends on the shape of the float....
S107 water landing floats, 1st attempt. (0 min 49 sec)

My first floats would not lift off.

This one did though
Syma S107-Water-landing-Crazy Mod (0 min 34 sec)

I've not revisited this port in quite some time, hopefully once I've got a little workshop space I'll get back on things.

Good luck GB and love to see a vid.

Hey guys,

First post here. I've got a Griffin Helo TC which is just a S107 with a different controller. The balance bar broke, so I ordered a new one. But I'm having trouble replacing it. I tried the link in the first post but it 404'd, and I don't fancy reading a 500-thread page.

Anyone?

Hi and welcome to the forums!!

Can you take a few pictures of the old balance bar and the new one and post them here? Some high resolution pix that focus on the center part of the bar would be good.

Also a close-up picture of the top rotor head where you'll be installing the balance bar would certainly help.

Finally, anything you can write which describes what you've tried and what seems to be the problem that you're having would go a long way to letting us help you!

Thanks for the welcome! I'll take a picture in a minute, I'm just having trouble removing the pin. I'm pretty sure the new balance bar is compatible.

Take the connecting buckles off of the flybar first.

Then if you push the pin out far enough with a pointed object like a pen, for the side cutters or long nosed pliers to grip, it should slide out easily.

Once you have the pin out you reverse the process and connect the connecting buckles back on and you are good to go.

Make sure you put the new flybar on the same way, you can put it on the wrong way then you have to start again

John.
