Gently grasp the rotor head and lift it up and down...if it moves, somethings needs to be reseated.

It's hard to go wrong with the ubiquitous S107, but do yourself a favor, follow the standard practices of timer limited flight duration of no more 5 minutes and 10 minute cool down periods between flights and charging to ensure maximum lifespan for your motors and lipo battery. You can get an inexpensive digital countdown time with alarm for a couple bucks like this one:

Another valuable piece of support equipment for your Syma S107 is an AC USB charger/adapter so you can charge your heli directly from an AC wall outlet, it's safer, and doesn't require your computer running.

Right, well after a bit of pushing and pulling here and there my heli now flies. I'm not sure exactly what I did! The chattering is still there but for now I'll leave it alone. My new chopper arrives tomorrow!

Thanks for all the help guys

Ha ha. It's good, I guess. But it sounds to me that it was a slippage more than ever. You might have pushed and pulled enough that the rotor has temporarily re-engaged the shaft. Chances are the problem would come back in the near future after a rough landing. Be prepared to go back and re-read our suggestions and check for slippage. Cheers.

Hello! New to the Syma scene. Only a few days into owning my first RC heli and Syma S107. Unfortunately, last night the T joint of the upper propeller (black top part on main shaft) broke on both sides, making things unflyable. I'd like to get a replacement shaft, but would like to buy locally if possible.

Does anyone know of a brick and mortar store that sells Syma S107G parts (or helis) in the Dallas / Fort Worth, TX area? Some stores close to me are: HobbyTown USA and AeroHobbies. Unforuantely, neither of them carry Syma.

You have just discovered the biggest problem with these "toy" grade infrared 3 channel helicopters. You can't just go to your local hobby shop for spare parts. Most Shopping Malls have a seasonal helicopter kiosk. And while they most likely will not have parts, You could just bite the bullet and buy a second S107G to get yourself back in the air immediately.

You could then order from the cheap vendors in China/HongKong, many with free shipping. The other choice would be the realtively quick always dependable service you can get from Amazon.com They have an extensive list of spare parts for many small helicopters, especially Syma.

It's a good idea to have a few spares for these choppers. I keep and extra set of main motors, a couple sets of main blades, and a tail rotor set. I haven't broken a main shaft and bade holder set or a flybar, but that would be a good thing to have ready also.

For those of you who like a colorful collection of helicopters, I've seen a few new colors for the S107G advertised on the web. Here's where I've seen them:

http://www.symahelicopters.com/Mini-...opters-s/1.htm

I've seen Green:

http://www.symahelicopters.com/SYMA-...107g-green.htm

and White:

S107Gs now. Are these legit or are they clones? Where is the *official* SYMA web page? Anybody know? Is this it?

I've also seen these from an Amazon reseller called Halley R Us:

http://www.amazon.com/Green-Channel-...dp/B006BLJKEY/

who has a LOT of interesting alternative parts for the S107G like the Helizone RC Firebird canopy, blades, and tail decorations:

and blue : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005TC8UKQ

Robo A few of the links are dead. I did get to the 3 S107 combo consisting of three different colored helis. It comes out to roughly $30.00 each. I found that the others were a bit pricey as well. Did I miss a "free shipping" button or something

Mike.

No pulling! Push! Use a bit of authority this time with your fingers only. No tools. Sounds like you are almost there..

Do you have any thoughts on whether the green/white ones I posted are real or fake? I honestly have no clue.

More to the point... Does anyone know what the official Syma web page or online catalog is? I'd like to know whether these white/green options are legit or not. Sorry if I just haven't found it yet--assuming it's buried deep in these forums.
