Thx guys. Yeah I'll post maiden flight report & get a vid too. Man I CAN'T WAIT!

And yes, I can already see the writing on the wall with this. Especially after looking at all the other SYMA's. My shelves are doomed to a life of being a heli hanger.

Amen! I've only got two 3CH IR helis right now (with 2 more being shipped as I write this) but the future looks so bright...I'm already starting to figure out how to rearrange my basement office to accommodate my own heli hanger!

I haven't been this excited about the potential for the upcoming holidays since I was in gradeschool...my Amazon wishlist used to be filled with DVDs and books but now it's full of helicopters!

Fry's ad in the LA Times this morning has them selling (with different names) S107, 3319B, LT-711, LT-712, S008.... reasonable prices.

I shelved my 2 s107s after getting bored with them after just 10 minutes, but am going to give them another flight or two soon.

I'm gonna try to mod it to get more forward/rev speed. Has anyone tried to get more speed out of them? Did you just change the tail prop for a larger one, and if so, what prop fits?

Regards,

Damian

i got my yellow Protocol Tigerjet today at Best Buy. Had some rewards points built up and cashed them in. Was on sale for $29.99. I think it is just like the Syma 107G. Am I correct???? It flies great. Spare Parts included tail prop only. Also came with USB cord for secondary way to charge.

Sounds like a relabeled Syma.
There's a herd of those around.

DT, are you recommending the seller because they have low price, or do you know that they sell genuine Symas? I cannot vouch for the seller, because the seller claimed in another thread that their Syma blades would turn during charging, and they feel that's "normal"?!?!?

Neocacher, I don't know if you've noticed. The prices of S107 are kind of high right now. I don't know if this is supply vs demand thing. They are typically $25-$30 in the US market. A trusted US source that I could recommend is Xheli.com. I don't work for them. I just bought a lot from them.

Amazon doesn't always sell genuine S107. If you want to know more about buying a real vs a counterfeit, read this thread.

as far as I can tell it's genuine. After I got it and played with it for a while (my first heli) I found this site:

http://syma107.com/clones-and-fake-syma-s107/

and it looks legit.
