After that it is fine. My other two TX's won't bind to this heli I fixed up. And one of them is an R5 like the one I fixed up.

Mike.
If the heli are the same, as there are some clones and/or fakes, then one Tx can work with any heli.
Unless you have different helicopters, some original, some fake.

I have 5 S107.
2 of them work with one Tx.
2 of them work with another one Tx.
1 of them work with another different one Tx.

So 3 different versions run with different Tx.
The same version helicopters run with the same Tx though.

Actually there are two different transmitters out. One has A, B, C. Mine only has A & B and I can fly on either one. It says A,B,C on the Tx, but the switch only moves in two positions. You may have the 2 switch one.

Tbe

After installing new blades and a new flybar, I still had TBE. Drove me nuts. Well, I tightened all 4 blades to where they barely move, and the TBE went away...hmmmm

my syma s107 came with very small li-po, 150mah only, fly 5 minutes each full charge. I tested my new Lishi L6019 with 180mah li-po, fly 9 minutes. leave S107 in the dust.

think I may have broken mine.

it fell on its side and I just hit the throttle to use the blades to prop itself up. been doing this for a little while now as I got lazy from always having to pick it up lol.

anyway, it went to do it this last time then suddenly the lights on the copter went out.

I picked it up and flipped it off and then back on.

lights came on but it doesnt respond to the controller.

think I blew out the board or the motors?

That practice is hard on the heli ... can put high loads on the motors, etc. This could have eventually caused the failure.

Ok so...

I got the three bladed tail rotor from Ebay that was discussed earlier in the thread.
Not worth it. I'll stick with the tail rotor I got from Klippie.
The heli moves slower, even though it is a three bladed rotor.
Jim

Ps...the inner dia of the three rotor is a teeeeenie bit bigger than the tail motor shaft. I had to use a miniscule amount of ca to keep it from spinning.

All is well now though. I have the known high perf tail rotor installed

That's good news, Stackz. I don't know where you got your S107. I once had a clone and its Tx/Rx binding procedure is different from my other S107s. After turning both of them ON, I have to go full throttle up, bring it back down, before I could fly it. The first throttle up would not cause the blade to spin, until you go Full throttle then cut it. If you have one of those, you might think that they are not communicating before you haven't pushed it all the way. I'm not saying that you have the same kind of clone I had. But just in case, give that procedure a try. Until you know for sure, though, you may want to hold your heli in your right hand, so it won't hit the ceiling if my suggestion is wrong.

Just got mine, but shouldn't of bought it really as i'm bored of it already. I've only flown it twice.

Can anyone confirm if this looks like the genuine article?

Also, i'm planning on flying it another couple of times and putting it in storage.
As Lipos should be stored at 50% charge (3.85v), does anyone have any idea how long I should time my flight from a full charge to roughly get to this voltage?
Cheers

Aki, That looks like the real McCoy to me. Bored of it already? You must be more advance than you give yourself credit for. Make yourself a flying course and challenge yourself to some precise flying. That's what I do, and that's where the S107 shines. Try landing it on top of a tall bookcase that is close to the ceiling. That give me trouble and hours of challenge. I sincerely hope that you'd get more fun out of your purchase. Otherwise, when you're done with it, give it to your favorite kid in your neighborhood and make a friend. Cheers.
