Hello, these are my little toys. Or better say my kid`s favorite one as he likes to watch every day.

I have an original yellow S107G R3 bought a year ago, an original (as it seems) red S107G R5 and a clone.

The one with the red blinking led, the front green and a black motor on the back, flat tail rotor, 3 band Tx with red led, reverse polarity on charger, and the other minor differences.

The R5 has cylindrical ends on the flybar with weights in it (at the end).
The R3 and the clone have little plastic housings that have a bottom piece that screws in with the metal weight inside.
All of them have different board cover.

As I learned the hard way that there USB charger is not interchangeable, I burnt a wall USB charger, be careful the chargers (Tx, or USB) are not interchangeable.
Better use a wall USB charger than a PC in any case.
If something is going to be gone bad then it is better to be a cheap wall USB charger...

Well, I got my 4 blue S107Gs from Xheli via Amazon today. I have to say I am super pleased with the color, as they are a darker blue with a sortof metallic look to the finish. I noticed that over time, SYMA has been making the blue ones darker every so often. They were baby to royal blue at first, then about the same blue as the stripe on the quick reply bar here and now they are a very nice dark blue.

The yellow S107G I got from Superstition Hobbies is an R5 board, as are all 5 of the new blue ones. The blue ones are boxed exactly the same as the yellow one and my first red one, except the boxes are a tad bit shorter now, like just under an inch. Not unusual for toy manufacturers to reduce packaging, especially noticeable when the economy starts getting bad.

When I have charged one of the new blue ones up, I'll let y'all know how it measures up...

Charged up one of the 4 new dark blue S107Gs I got yesterday from Xheli, got out my trusty SAMA S107G TX that I use for my other S107s and my S105G, flew a very nice and smooth pattern around the family room for about 6 minutes and landed for a recharge to do it all over again. $63.80 for 4 of these babies delivered and I am a happy man.

Now if the S108Gs get here today and fly as good as this one did, my fat butt may dance a little "Happy Dance" in celebration of getting better deals and service, right here in the U.S.A. While not waiting two to three weeks for a less than stellar chopper hasn't always been the case and I, in fact, have been very lucky in most of my purchases, one or two bad ones out of the many, is still a huge disappointment. Fingers crossed!

Here's some pictures, so you can decide for yourself about it's pedigree...

I use the S107 battery across the board on any of my helis that need one in the 150mAh range. Never had an issue and looking inside the cockpit of my new S108G, I see a 150mAh battery that looks identical to the S107 battery I just installed on my friend's S107 yesterday. His had graped up badly...

I should also mention that people need to really watch where they buy replacement blades, or parts in general, for that matter. I installed 4 new blades on that same S107 for my friend. He had TBE bad and upon looking at the replacement blades he had installed(because he had changed the yellow chopper to red and wanted the blades to match), I saw they were extremely cheap copies that were cast poorly and all had a tip up, type of bend at the end of the blades. I had originally told him to heat them in water, but these blades were probably pulled before they were done curing or were made in a badly done mold. The color was off, they had none of the A, B cast letters at the end and were just all around junk. I pitched them and gave him one of my spare sets.

Great! Thanks so much guys! I see a couple places on EBay that are in the US that are selling these batteries. Is that where youguys get yours or are you getting them from the overseas sellers?

@DarkFall, So, what's it like living on a golf course? It reminds me of many condos we looked at in South Carolina

I am confused... or were you just looking at the background in the photos? Those photos are the side yard and part of the neighbor's yard. The golf course is behind the house...

My brother just got FULLY GENUINE BLUE Syma 107G (R5) from lightake.com (http://lightake.com/detail.do/sku.Sy...yro_Blue-43423)

TX has only A and B written on them, so it means it's genuine. I will let you know how it flies.
