The power switch on the heli should be OFF while charging.

Thank you....And how long approx to charge?

I guess there's no indication when charging is complete.

Lastly, when the USB cable is connected to the PC from the helicopter, the plug glows orange when the helicopter's powere switch is on and stops glowing when it's in the helicopter's switch is in the off position, is that normal?

Thanks again

jeff

The manual is vague. When the USB light is ON, no charging is taking place. It's either finished, disconnected, or you left the switch on.

The Big 5-0!

I hit 50 flights tonight on my S107! Looks like it is going to be around for a while.

I have two batteries on order from that eBay vendor recommended by "jtraveler". Hopefully, that will let my 107 fly non stop for the duration of the battery charge.

Looking forward to the next 50!

Happy flying!
Ed

I just noticed mine is missing the tail rotor. What the flarg? It landed under control last time I flew it. It didn't get knocked off in the tangle of charge cords on my kitchen counter, or it would still be there. Pretty sure I've got a spare.

But every once in a while, push your rotor back down the shaft so it doesn't pop off and get lost.

There's a greeen led blinking on the back too for awhile.

Ocassionally it'll swirl and quickly pita out.

Any trouble testing measures I can take?

Thanks,

Jeff
If you used it right out of the box without charging it first for at least 30 minutes actually the manual says charging time is 40-50 minutes, then you probably over discharged the lipo battery and ruined the pack. and if you fly it until it doesn't climb any longer then you most likely over discharged the pack and once again ruined it. That is just the nature of lithium polymer batteries.

I put a 210mah battery into mine and it was fun while it lasted. It defiantly flew for longer, about 9 min. Did lift off slower but it was not too bad, it wouldn't hover anymore though. Crept forward and reverse was really sluggish. I think mounting the battery under the plane would be better. Was fun chasing the cat around, she got a few good swats in. Woke up the other day to find it in pieces. Guess the cat was tired of being chased around the house so she ate it in the night. I'll probably get another one since I have a lot of spare parts now.

The cat probably was attracted to the toasted (9 minutes!!!) motors.

Even with the bad s107's popping up it seems people are still having fun and getting hooked on this hobby.

How does your neighbor like it?

He ordered another one and so did I. So I will post it up when I get it since it seems that not a lot of people have them on here. Sorry for the thread jack.

Got a blue one from Amazon today...

Cost me 29.00 US

Worked like a charm right out of the box.

...and the best part? The x-mitter from the 1st red one I got
works with this one too, so now I can fly one while the other charges.

Somehow, these little fliers just never get old.

Is it wrong for a 35-yr old man to like these so much?

What real man wouldn't like these? (Is that a chauvinistic thing to say?)

My Rev5 heli is starting to show some weakness near the end of its five minute sorties. It will stay in the air but if landed will struggle to regain altitude even with full throttle. I suspect the battery is starting to show its age (50+ flights), so I ordered some new ones from TomTop... should be here whenever. The Rev3 has 31 flights and is flying like it just came out of the box, it will be interesting to see what happens as it approaches its 50th flight.

My mCX2 and mSR are due to arrive on Friday... I wonder if they will turn me into a 4 Ch snob who will disdain his SYMA "toys?"

It is sooo wrong, you should seek professional help immediately !
If not you could end up with a fleet of helis taking over the whole house .

My excuse is "I must have all the colours they make them in!"
Then you will need more just in case those ones have a nastly fall from a height .
Then you will see more online and think "They look nice"
Before you know it you have one of each colour - again!

...and that rests the case for the defence
